The DeKalb Animal Shelter’s newest intake is a cute little critter that is sure to melt your heart!
“Susan” is the WJLE/DeKalb Animal Shelter featured “Pet of the Week”
Although she is getting along in years and doesn’t see or hear well, Susan needs a good family to care for her in these golden years.
Shelter Director Emmaly Bennett is asking for someone to come forward to give Susan a home, either by adoption or foster care.
“Susan is our newest intake. We think she could be around 13 years old. She doesn’t have any teeth so its hard to say. Susan can’t see or hear very well but she eats and drinks well, gets around fine and is doing great. She especially loves walks outside and the fresh air. Susan has been spayed and is up to date on vaccinations. We would like to have someone foster or adopt her forever,” said Bennett.
“If you are interested please check out the foster care or adoptable pet’s link on our website at https://www.dekalbanimalsheltertn.com/to fill out an application and see her picture and we will call you to come in and meet her. Please give us a call so we can find Susan a good home,” said Bennett.
The shelter is open Monday-Friday from 8 to 4 and Saturday from 8 to 12 at 186 Transfer Station Road. Phone 615-597-3647.
