A Lebanon man found with a stolen motorcycle has been charged by Alexandria Police with theft of property over $1,000.
29 year old Aaron Scott Elmore is also charged with a 2nd offense of driving while licensed revoked and resisting stop, frisk, halt, arrest, or search. His total bond on the charges is $11,500 and he will make a court appearance on January 17.
According to the arrest warrant, Alexandria Police Officer Josh Arnold responded to 216 Church Street on Saturday, December 29 to conduct an investigation and spotted a black 2017 Suzuki motorcycle which looked like one that he tried to pull over the day before on Friday, December 28. Officer Arnold spoke with Elmore who admitted to having driven the motorcycle which failed to yield to the traffic stop. Elmore also admitted to still having possession of the motorcycle. A computer check through the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) revealed that the motorcycle was reported stolen out of Nashville on October 7. A further check through central dispatch showed Elmoreās driver license to be revoked for DUI pertaining to alcohol or drugs in Wilson County from March 22, 2016 to March 22, 2018 with no reinstatement. He also has a prior driving while license revoked offense against him in Smith County which occurred on September 25, 2017.
