Bain Arrested After Pointing Handgun to the Head of His Victim

A man who allegedly threatened to shoot his victim after pointing a gun to his head has been charged by Smithville Police with aggravated assault.

36 year old Michael Allen Bain of 107 Oak Street was arrested on March 31. He is under a $5,000 bond.

Police were called to 210 Hayes Street where a man with a gun was allegedly threatening to kill the complainant’s son. Upon arrival the officer spoke with all the parties involved and learned that Bain had pointed a handgun at the victim’s head and threatened to shoot him.

31 year old Erick Lee Dodd of 1069 Johnson Chapel Road was arrested for Domestic Assault on March 30. Police responded to a domestic complaint and were informed that Dodd and the victim had gotten into a verbal argument that turned physical when he pushed her into a coffee table leaving an abrasion on her left knee. He also allegedly slapped the woman in the face leaving red marks. She also suffered a cut on the right side of her face. Police determined that Dodd was the primary aggressor and he was taken into custody without incident. Bond for Dodd is $1,500.

34 year old Amanda Lynn McClure of 425 Kendra Drive was cited on April 3 for Assault. Police were called to Wal-Mart due to an assault which had occurred in the parking lot and discovered that McClure had committed the offense by scratching the arms of her victim and hitting her in the face.

36 year old Charles Leonard Zellman of Auburntown was cited on April 8 for Simple Possession. Police responded to a domestic complaint and spoke with a man and woman in a vehicle on Jackson Street. After separating the two, the officer requested and received consent from Zellman to search the vehicle. He found a prescription bottle in the center console containing 15 white oblong pills believed to be Gabapentin. Zellman had no prescription for the pills. His court date is May 2.

35 year old Christopher Ryan Inge of Morrison was arrested on April 11 for Violation of Bond Conditions. Inge was found to be on the property of his victim and a license check revealed that he is under a valid protection order to keep away her. His bond is $3,500 and he will make a court appearance on May 2.

42 year old William Andrew Robertson of Portland was arrested on April 13 for Simple Possession and cited for Driving on a Suspended License. While on routine patrol, an officer spotted Robertson operating a van. Knowing that Robertson’s license were suspended the officer pulled the van over at a Gentry Avenue residence and spoke to Robertson as he got out of the vehicle. A search of Robertson incident to arrest turned up a ½ gram of Methamphetamine. Bond for Robertson is $4,500 and his court date is May 9.

34 year old Terri Lynn Poss of 371 Poss Road was arrested on April 13 for DUI. During an investigation of an underage drinking party on Smith Road police spotted someone toss a beer bottle from the driver’s side window of Poss’ car. The officer followed Poss to McDonald’s and asked her to step out of the vehicle. He smelled a strong odor of alcohol coming from Poss’ person and noticed that she was unsteady on her feet. Poss submitted to but performed poorly on field sobriety tasks. Poss informed the officer that she had consumed one Bud Light Platinum which was the same bottle the officer found on Smith Road that had been thrown from her vehicle. Bond for Poss is $1,500 and her court date is May 9.

52 year old Sandra Thomason of 632 Crestlawn Avenue was arrested on April 15 for Public Intoxication. Police responded to a 911 call of a person passed out on the front porch of 634 Andrew Street. Upon arrival the officer found Thomason sitting in a chair on the porch. She was unable to sit up or stand without assistance. Thomason had a strong odor of alcohol coming from her person and could not speak in complete sentences. For her safety and that of the public Thomason was taken into custody. Bond for Thomason is $1,500 and her court date is May 2.

47 year old Richard Brandon Turner of 905 West Main Street was arrested on April 16 for Domestic Assault. Police responded to Turner’s apartment in reference to a domestic complaint. Upon arrival the officer spoke with the victim who reported that she and Turner had been in an argument and that he threw a fan at her. When she tried to leave, Turner told her that she wasn’t going anywhere and grabbed her by the left arm leaving a visible injury. Bond for Turner is $4,500 and his court date is May 2.

52 year old Charlotte Lee Patterson of 401 Charity Lane was arrested April 18 for Disorderly Conduct. Police responded to Patterson’s home after receiving a 911 call and spoke with her. She appeared to be intoxicated, became belligerent, and began uttering profanity in view of the general public. Patterson was subsequently placed in custody because of her continued disruptive behavior. Her bond is $1,500 and she will make a court appearance on May 2.

61 year old Katrina Jo Laliberte of 641 Andrew Street was cited on April 18 for assault. Police responded to 639 Andrew Street due to a physical altercation. Upon arrival police encountered the victim who had suffered a cut on his head. He also had a broken Bluetooth headset.  The victim informed the officer that Laliberte had hit him with a dog leash.  Laliberte’s court date is May 2.

62 year old Johnny Wayne Trapp of 8264 Holmes Creek Road was arrested on April 19 for Public Intoxication. Police responded to KFC/Taco Bell in reference to a person passed out at a table.  The officer awoke the man, Trapp and noticed that his speech was slurred and that he had trouble keeping his balance while walking. Trapp had multiple bottles of liquor in his possession, one of which was ¾ empty. Because Trapp was in a public place and a nuisance to the staff and customers he was taken into custody for his safety and that of the public. Bond for Trapp is $1,500 and his court date is May 9.
