The Savage-Goodner Camp 1513 of the Sons of Confederate Veterans will recognize the Confederate veterans buried in Bonham Cemetery, Cordell Love Road, Smithville, TN by the placement of a memorial plaque on November 9, 2024 at Noon. Members of the Black Roses will assist the Sons of Confederate Veterans in this dedication.
The veterans to be recognized are: Jonathan Rufus Fuson, Matthew Greer, John Johnson, Richard Wallace McGinnis, Benjamin Hanford Merritt, Archibald Z. Moore, Benjamin A. Terrell, and John Wesley Pack
A brief ceremony will accompany the unveiling of the memorial sign. Descendants of these veterans and members of the public are invited to attend and witness this ceremony being held on the Saturday preceding Veterans Day at 12:00 noon. The Bonham Cemetery is located on the northwest side of the Smithville Municipal Airport off Cordell Love Road.
