Tim Bumbalough of Sparta, a WoodmenLife Sales Representative, has achieved the professional designation of Fraternal Insurance Counselor Fellow (FICF).
The designation, conferred by the Fraternal Field Managers’ Association (FFMA), is awarded to candidates who successfully complete the coursework and pass the certification exams for four basic and three graduate level insurance-related courses. The Basic course provides an introduction to life underwriting principles; the Ethics course covers ethics for the life insurance professional; the Intermediate course covers total needs planning; and the Advanced course outlines the concepts that must be understood to be effective working in the advanced markets. Graduate-level courses are comprised of modules in advanced areas of life underwriting including estate planning, business insurance and financial products. Recipients must also meet other guidelines and follow the FIC Code of Ethics.
Through his association with WoodmenLife, Bumbalough often provides US flags for schools in DeKalb County and makes donations to other projects in the county.
