The Cannon County high school basketball teams completed a season sweep of the DeKalb County Tigers and Lady Tigers Monday night.
In the girls game, DC lost 38 to 30 while the Tigers were defeated 68 to 55.
The Lady Tigers held an 8 to 6 lead after the 1st period but trailed 16 to 15 at halftime. DC pulled ahead 26 to 19 by the end of the 3rd period but were outscored in the 4th period and lost 38 to 30.
Chloe VanVranken scored 9, Avery Agee 8, Allie Melton 5, Millie Barton 4 and Brooklyn Fuson and Jordyn Agee each with 2.
For the boys, the Tigers led 14 to 12 after the 1st period but found themselves behind 28 to 19 at halftime and trailed 46 to 39 after the 3rd period before losing 68 to 55 to the Lions.
Jordan Parker led the Tigers in scoring with 21 followed by Dallas Kirby with 19, Jon Hendrix 6, Porter Hancock 4, Seth Fuson 3, and Logan Duke with 2.
In the last meeting on November 29, Cannon County prevailed in both games over the DCHS Tigers and Lady Tigers at Woodbury
The Tigers (2-6) and the Lady Tigers (2-6) will host Warren County Friday night, December 13. The girls game will tip off at 6 p.m. followed by the boys game and WJLE will broadcast both LIVE.
