DeKalb County’s share of local option sales tax collections for November 2022 outperformed the same month in 2021 by over $8,700 according to the Tennessee Department of Revenue. For the county and the four cities therein, combined collections were up by more than $27,000.
DeKalb County brought in $148,681 in November 2022 compared to $139,926 for November 2021.
Three of the four cities within DeKalb County also hauled in more local option sales tax revenue. Alexandria was the exception.
The comparisons between the two months for each municipality are as follows:
Smithville: $348,774 (November 2022), $326,672 (November 2021)
Alexandria: $22,904 (November 2022), $27,858 (November 2021)
Dowelltown: $3,246 (November 2022), $2,886 (November 2021)
Liberty: $13,991 (November 2022), $12,727 (November 2021)
NET COLLECTIONS (LOCAL OPTION SALES TAX): $537,597 (November 2022), $510,071 (November 2021)
