The DCHS basketball teams opened the 2024-25 campaign with Hall of Champions road losses at Wilson Central Tuesday night.
The Lady Tigers opened with a 62 to 39 defeat and the Tigers lost 59 to 40.
In the girls game, Wilson Central led 23 to 3 in the 1st period, 35 to 13 at halftime, and 52 to 26 after the 3rd period enroute to a 62 to 39 win.
For DeKalb County, Avery Agee scored 10, Jordan Agee 9, Chloe Van Vranken 7, Allie Melton 4, Lillie Young 3, and Laurie Rigsby, Millie Barton, and Jerusalem Aldino each with 2.
For the boys, DC led 7 to 6 after the 1st period but fell behind 21 to 17 by halftime and 38 to 27 after the 3rd period before losing 59 to 40.
The Tigers saw Dallas Kirby with 18 points followed by Jon Hendrix 5, Porter Hancock and Logan Duke each with 4 and David Wheeler, Jordan Parker, and Seth Fuson each with 3.
The DCHS teams will travel to Gordonsville Saturday for a Hall of Fame Play Day.
