The DeKalb County Adopt-A-Teacher Program is back for the third year!
The school bell has rung and children all over DeKalb County have started a new school year. All summer long teachers have attended inservice training, developed lesson plans and worked tirelessly on making plans for this school year.
“Lets spread some good throughout the county. We all know teachers are our unsung heroes and the heartbeat of our community. Let’s make things a bit easier for them and help them understand how much they mean to us in our county,” said program coordinator Shelly Barnes.
Teachers available for adoption can be found on the following sites for each school. Special thanks to local parent, Heather Young, for helping create the sites.
