Four DeKalb County High School fishing teams kicked off the Central Trail opener last weekend at Old Hickory Lake.
Rowan Miller & Tyler Dunn, Bradedn Mangin & Bill Stanton, Jacob Johnson & Slade Bennett and Mason Taylor & Wesley Kent all competed with 119 other High School boats from all over Tennessee.
Jacob and Slade had 1 fish for 2.17pounds. Braeden and Bill had 3 fish for 6 pounds while Taylor and Kent came to the scales with 11.54 pounds.
The boys came in Third place and walked away with plaques and a scholarship check. “We are extremely proud of all of our anglers and are looking forward to this season. We also would like to say thank you to our sponsors and community for their support,” said Kim Taylor
