DeKalb County Schools will re-open with student registration on Monday, August 2.
The first full day of school will be Wednesday, August 4
A system-wide in-service for all staff will be Tuesday, July 27 and at the individual schools Wednesday and Thursday July 28 & 29. An administrative day for teachers only will be Tuesday, August 3
Schools will be closed for the following:
Labor Day, September 6
Fall Break October 11-15
Thanksgiving November 22-26
Christmas Break December 20-31 (Friday, December 17 to be an abbreviated day) (Monday, January 3 a stockpile day- no school for students) (Students return to school Tuesday, January 4)
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day January 17
Presidents Day February 21
Spring Break March 28 to April 1
Good Friday, April 15
Last day of school May 23 ( Administrative Day May 20)
