DeKalb Tigerettes Shutout York Institute (Game Today Vs Watertown) Cancelled)

Ellie Cripps didn’t allow a single run as the DeKalb County Tigerettes defeated York Institute 17-0 on Tuesday. Cripps gave up just two hits.

Jacey Hatfield collected four hits in five at bats to help lead the Tigerettes to victory. Hatfield tripled in the second, singled in the third, tripled in the fourth, and singled in the fifth.

In the first inning, the Tigerettes got their offense started as Emma Martin doubled to drive in three runs.

DeKalb County tallied four runs in the fourth inning led by a triple from Hatfield and a double by Emma Johnson.

Cripps was credited with the victory for the Tigerettes. The righthander went five innings, allowing a two hit shutout while striking out five and walking one.

The Tigerettes scattered 18 hits in the game. Hatfield, Johnson, Morgan Walker, Aly Griffith, and Martin each racked up multiple hits. Hatfield got four hits in five at bats. The Tigerettes didn’t commit a single error in the field. Kennedy Polk had the most chances in the field with five.

The Tigerettes were scheduled to host Watertown today (Thursday) but the game has been cancelled.
