The DeKalb Prevention Coalition has recognized students at DeKalb West School who participated in a poster contest in support of Red Ribbon Week last month.
Red Ribbon Week raises awareness of drug use and the problems related to drugs facing our community, and encourages parents, educators, business owners, and other community organizations to promote drug-free lifestyles.
This year’s theme was “Be Happy, Be Brave, Be Drug Free!
The DeKalb Prevention Coalition provided cash prizes from a community yard sale fundraiser held in July along with red ribbon materials.
