A Florida man was arrested last month on a drug charge after methamphetamine was found at his campsite near Holmes Creek boat ramp.
41-year-old Michael Ryan Forbes of Florida is charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver. His bond is $2,500.
Sheriff Patrick Ray said that on September 16 a detective was summoned to the Holmes Creek boat ramp area due to suspicious activity at a campsite involving two people. Upon arrival the detective spotted a black backpack containing a black glasses case which held a crystal-like substance believed to be methamphetamine and a glass pipe. Documents with the name “Mike” were also found. A short time later the detective found two men on Holmes Creek Road who admitted that this was their campsite. Forbes was identified by witnesses to being the owner of the bag.
34-year-old Bobby Jewell Wilson of Evans Mill Road is charged with bringing contraband into a penal institution. His bond is $10,000 and he will be in court October 10. Sheriff Ray said that while being booked into the jail on a failure to appear warrant, Wilson was found to have 1.81 grams of a white powdery substance believed to be Fentanyl.
24-year-old Elijah Ryan Houck of Marks Lane, Smithville is charged with domestic assault and his court date is October 10. He is under an $8,500 bond. Sheriff Ray said that on September 23 a deputy was called to Houck’s home due to a possible domestic incident. Upon arrival he spoke with a woman who said that Houck had hit her several times in the face.
27-year-old David Matias Lopez of McMinnville is charged with driving under the influence and driving on a revoked or suspended license. His bond is $3,500 and he will be in court October 17. Sheriff Ray said that on September 28 a deputy was traveling south on South Congress Boulevard when he spotted a black Chevrolet Camaro leaving its lane of travel. The officer pulled over the car and spoke with the driver, Lopez who smelled of alcohol. A passenger in the car said the two had just left the Gentleman’s Club and that Lopez had consumed four or five alcoholic beverages. Lopez submitted to but performed poorly on field sobriety tasks. His eyes were red and watery and his speech was slurred. The deputy learned that Lopez’s license was suspended for failure to appear in Coffee County on June 22, 2023.
34-year-old Felicia Ann Moore of Lebanon is charged with theft of property. Her bond is $5,000 and she will be in court October 10. Sheriff Ray said that on August 25 a detective received a report of possible stolen kayaks on AB Frazier Road. Upon arrival the officer spoke with a woman who said that she and Moore had taken the kayaks around the 4th of July. The estimated value of the five stolen kayaks is $1,000. 39-year-old Amanda Alice Atnip of Jennings Lane was arrested for theft in the case in August.
39-year-old Juan Antonio Munoz Hernandez of Adcock Cemetery Road is charged with driving under the influence and driving on a revoked or suspended license. His bond is $3,500 and he will be in court October 17. Sheriff Ray said that on September 29 a deputy pulled over a white Nissan Altima for no headlights and spoke with the driver, Hernandez who smelled of alcohol. His eyes were red and watery and he was unsteady on his feet. He refused to submit to field sobriety tasks. A background check revealed that Hernandez’s license was suspended.
48-year-old Robert Anthony Noe of Rye Hobbs Road, Smithville is charged with public intoxication. His bond is $2,000 and he will be in court October 10. Sheriff Ray said that on September 25 Noe was found intoxicated at Lakeside Resort. Noe smelled of alcohol and his eyes were bloodshot. Noe admitted to having consumed alcohol and said he had no way home. An empty 32-ounce beer bottle was found in his backpack.
31-year-old Christopher Michael Ellison of Village Square Dowelltown is charged with domestic assault. His bond is $3,500 and he will be in court October 10. Sheriff Ray said that on September 26 Ellison allegedly punched his girlfriend in the facial area several times during an argument causing injury to her forehead and the corner of her right eye.
52-year-old Billie Jo Morris of Kings Court, Smithville is charged with simple possession of a schedule V drug (Gabapentin) and drug paraphernalia. Her bond is $5,000 and she will be in court October 17. Sheriff Ray said that on September 29 a deputy was traveling down Nashville Highway when he spotted a white Chevrolet Impala leaving its lane of travel several times. The officer pulled over the car and spoke with the driver, Curtis Lee Adams who admitted that his license was suspended. While speaking with Adams the officer detected an odor of marijuana in the vehicle. A backseat passenger admitted to having smoked marijuana before getting in the car. The deputy then asked all to step out of the vehicle and searches were conducted of each. While conducting a search of the front seat passenger, Morris, the deputy found four yellow pills in her back right pocket. Morris said she had forgotten that she had the pills. Morris’ purse was also found on the front passenger side floorboard which contained a capped used needle.
56-year-old Curtis Lee Adams of Midway Road, Smithville is charged with driving on a revoked or suspended license. His court date is set for October 17. Sheriff Ray said that on September 29 a deputy had central dispatch conduct a background check on Adams’ license and it was determined to be suspended due to a failure to appear warrant on March 7, 2024.
