The four incumbent directors of DeKalb Telephone Cooperative (DTC Communications) up for election Saturday won a new three-year term during the annual meeting held at the fairgrounds in Alexandria.
Kathy Pugh of the Auburntown exchange defeated challenger Jason Brown 235 to 133. She had been appointed in January, 2021 to fill her husband Roy N. Pugh’s unexpired term. He passed away in December 2020.
The other three Directors up for re-election were unopposed including James H. Dillard, Jr. – Gordonsville exchange, who received 249 votes; Kurt Bass – Temperance Hall exchange, 234 votes; and David Parker – Woodland exchange, 253 votes.
In addition to Pugh, Dillard, Bass, and Parker, the DTC Board includes members Randy Campbell of the Liberty exchange, Bennie Curtis of the Alexandria exchange, Ronnie Garrison of the Smithville exchange, Terry McPeak of the Norene exchange, Brian Alexander of the Woodbury exchange, and Jim Vinson of the Milton exchange.
