Get close knit with “Kit”
Meet “Kit” the WJLE/DeKalb Animal Shelter featured “Pet of the week”
“Miss Kit is seven years old and she came to the shelter after her owner passed away,” said Shelter volunteer Angel Shaw.
“Kit has her moments and takes a long time to adjust but she is super friendly after she does adjust. Kit picks one human to attach herself to but she is not a lap cat and doesn’t like to be held. She is a good cat but needs someone with a lot of patience. Kit would probably do better in a home with no children under age 15 and no other animals. She loves to play with her toys and strings. Kit also likes to look out the window at the birds and she enjoys laying in the sun and hanging out in high places. She’ll greet you in the mornings, but she picks her times when she wants attention. Kit has been declawed,” said Shaw.
“If you are interested in adopting Kit, please check out the adoptable pet’s link on our website to fill out an application at https://www.dekalbanimalsheltertn.com/ and we will call you to come in and meet her,” said Shaw.
The shelter is open Monday-Friday from 8 to 4 and Saturday from 8 to 12 at 186 Transfer Station Road. Phone 615-597-3647.
