Christmas is a time for giving so why not give “PJ” a home in time for the holidays.

“PJ” is the WJLE/DeKalb Animal Shelter featured “Pet of the Week”
“PJ is a one year old domestic short haired cat. He was a stray that someone turned in. He is fun and playful and he loves other cats. PJ has also been introduced to a dog so he seems to be pretty relaxed with anything (cats and dogs). He is ready to go (be adopted),” said shelter employee Emmaly Bennett.
Stop by the animal shelter soon and fill out an application, call 615-597-3647 (DOGS), or visit facebook. The shelter is currently open on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 12-4 p.m. and Saturday from 10 to 12 noon. Closed Wednesday.
Located at 186 Transfer Station Road behind Tenneco Automotive
Donations are always needed at the shelter. Items needed include puppy food, kitten food, non-clumping cat litter, bleach, Lysol/Clorox wipes, paper towels, monetary donations for medical needs, laundry detergent, dishwasher detergent, and Milkbones. You can drop off donations during business hours or leave them at the front door. Community support is appreciated.
