“Josie” is a big bundle of joy and is ready to bring a lot of happiness to someone’s home in time for the holidays!
Meet “Josie” the WJLE/DeKalb Animal Shelter featured “Pet of the Week”.
“Josie is a special pet because she had some nerve damage to her left eye. The vets believe it is from where she had a bit of a facial deformity so they decided that it would be best that her eye be removed so after her surgery Josie will be a sweet little one-eyed girl but she will recover and live a good life with one eye. She is super sweet and about a year and a half old. She is a boxer mix with beautiful coloring. Josie is really playful and just a happy girl. We would love to get her a home for the holidays. We will have her spayed and up to date on all her vaccinations and she will be ready to go so come meet her”, said Shelter Director Emmaly Bennett.

The shelter is now open Monday-Friday from 8 to 4 and Saturday from 8 to 12 on Transfer Station Road behind Tenneco Automotive.
