Chloe Boyd and Emily Anderson of the DeKalb Middle School golf team traveled to Two Rivers Golf Course in Nashville for the 2022 TMSGA Regional Tournament. It was held on May 12/13 with the players walking 18 holes each day.
With the top players scoring near par, it proved to be a very competitive event. Over 50 players representing 18 schools were competing.
Chloe Boyd finished 16th overall, carding her best scores to date. Emily Anderson turned in her usual steady performance and came in 33rd. The team finished eighth overall in their first ever trip to the tournament as a team.
“I couldn’t be prouder of these young ladies. They handled a very difficult course and the pressure of the magnitude of the event with poise and effort,” said Coach Danny Jenkins
