The DCHS Lady Tigers completed the season sweep of York Institute with a 51 to 34 win at Jamestown Friday night but the Tigers lost to the Dragons 63 to 42.
In the girls game, the Lady Tigers led 17 to 8 after the 1st period, 26 to 17 at halftime, and 44 to 28 after the 3rd period before going on to win 51 to 34.
Emme Colwell and Kadee Ferrell each scored 16. Lydia Brown 6, Mya Ruch 4, Maddison Parsley 3, Joni Robinson and Mallori Hart each with 2 and Megan Cantrell and Leah Davis each with 1.
The Lady Tigers defeated York Institute at home in November 66 to 52.
Meanwhile in the boys game Friday night, the Tigers led 17 to 15 after the 1st period but fell behind 31 to 21 at halftime and trailed 51 to 25 after the 3rd period before losing 63 to 42.
Nathan Atkins scored 10, Evan Jones 7, Tanner Poss 5, Hayden Thomas and Dallas Cook each with 4, Isaac Walker and Nathaniel Crook each with 3, and Noah Martin, Lucas Hale, and Brayden Antoniak each with 2.
The Tigers lost to the Dragons in November 68 to 52 in Smithville.
The Lady Tigers improve to 14-6 on the season and 6-2 in the district. The Tigers go to 3-17 and 2-6 in district play.
