The 2018 Miss Princess of the DeKalb County Fair Lakelyn Brooke Nelson, the 7 year old daughter of Dustin and Kristian Nelson of Smithville.
Twelve girls ages 7-9 competed for the title Wednesday night at the DeKalb County Fair
Nelson succeeds the 2017 Miss Princess, Zayleigh Grace Washer, the 10 year old daughter of Larry and Rachel Bain of Smithville.
Seven year old Cora Marie Cox of Smithville was first runner-up in the pageant. She is the daughter of Brandon and Whitney Cox.
Second runner-up was Karah Jo Ford, the 8 year old daughter of Amanda Ford and Hector Oroscoe of Dowelltown. She was also named Miss Congeniality
Brileigh Nicole Bullard, the 8 year old daughter of Riley and Nikki Bullard of Smithville was third runner-up. She also received the Most Photogenic honor
Khloe Elizabeth Grandstaff was fourth runner-up. She is the 8 year old daughter of Shawna and Tyler Grandstaff of Smithville.
Others in the top 8 were Mattie Lauren West, the 7 year old daughter of Bradley and Amber West of Riddleton; Kaydence Shontae Johnson, 8 year old daughter of Jeremy and Trista Ashburn of Smithville; and Miah Faith Johnson, 9 year old daughter of Bobby Johnson and Kelsey Pyles of Smithville.
The remaining contestants in the pageant were Abigail Yost, 7 year old daughter of Michael and Katrina Yost of Smithville; Zoey Kay Zoriah Golson, 8 year old daughter of Demetris Golson and Katie Davenport of Alexandria; Abby Boles, 9 year old daughter of Leslie and Austin Maxwell and Kelly and Chad Boles of Alexandria; and Mia Nicole Hall, 7 year old daughter of Bradley and Lacy Hall of Alexandria.
