Jacob Parsley has joined the team at Liberty State Bank in Smithville as a banking officer and lender.

The bank is hosting a welcome reception for him today (Friday) from 2-4 p.m.

“I have been with the bank since about May rotating around to a few of the different branches getting some training. I just got here at the Smithville branch about a month ago so I am settling in and getting started,” said Parsley.

Born and raised in DeKalb County, Parsley is the son of Bruce Parsley and Elizabeth Young and he is married to the former Laura Pafford, daughter of Mark and Beth Pafford. Jacob’s grandparents are Larry and Natalie Green and David and Connie Parsley.

Parsley is a 2013 graduate of DeKalb County High School and he furthered his education at Tennessee Tech where he earned a degree in math in 2016.

“After I received my degree I came back to the high school here where I taught for a year and then decided to go back to school at Tech for some graduate course work in the fall of 2017. When I finished that I started on my career path and that led me here,” said Parsley.

“I would love to see all of you. Stop by and visit with us and if you need to borrow some money come see me and I will fix you up,” Parsley concluded.
