The Smithville-DeKalb County Chamber of Commerce is delighted to invite the community to the 54th Annual Chamber Prayer Breakfast, a cherished tradition of unity and reflection. The event will be held on Thursday, November 21st from 7:00 AM to 8:00 AM at the Smithville First Baptist Church Life Enrichment Center, located at 101 W. Church Street, Smithville. Doors will open at 6:30 AM, welcoming all who wish to attend.
This year, we are honored to have Ralph Vaughn as our guest speaker. A DeKalb County native, Ralph is widely recognized for his 15-year tenure as the manager of WJLE and as the voice of the Smithville Fiddlers Jamboree and the DeKalb County Fair for 25 years. With a diverse career spanning 21 years in radio broadcasting and 18 years as the president of various chambers of commerce including those in Rutherford County, the Madison-Morgan County Chamber in Madison, Georgia, and the Tennessee Christian Chamber of Commerce in Nashville. Ralph’s professional experience also includes property management, public relations, and marketing. An active and dedicated member of every community he has served, Ralph and his wife, June, also a native of Smithville, now reside in Nashville.
The event will feature special music and prayers led by community members, enriching this meaningful morning. Additionally, the Smithville First Baptist Church’s Men’s Group will prepare a delicious pancake and sausage breakfast for all attendees, with the Leadership DeKalb Class of 2025 assisting with serving.
Tickets for the Chamber Prayer Breakfast are available at a cost of $5 per person.
