Flooding due to heavy rains over the weekend has resulted in damage to several county roads.

DeKalb County Road Supervisor Danny Hale said his department is working to make the repairs and is asking the public to be patient in the meantime.

Hale is also warning the public not to remove cones or caution tape across roads where flooding has occurred. Those caught doing so will be prosecuted.

“Please be patient with us as we work to correct the damage that 10 inches of rain has done to our county roads. If you come across caution tape that is across the roads or cones please do not remove them. They are there to keep everyone safe. Anyone found removing either of them will be prosecuted. We will get everything fixed as quickly as possible. Again thank you for your patience,” said Road Supervisor Hale.
