Should DeKalb County faculty, staff, and students be required to wear facial coverings at school?
The DeKalb County Board of Education will decide Wednesday evening, July 29 when it meets in special session at the Ernest Ray Education Center starting at 6:30 p.m. A work session will be held prior to the meeting at 6:00 p.m.
The special meeting will be held for the sole purpose of deciding whether to mandate facial coverings for DeKalb County faculty, staff, and students.
The board will follow social distancing guidelines and other CDC procedures as well as wear masks during the meeting.
DeKalb County Schools are scheduled to reopen on Monday, August 3rd in the traditional manner with on campus attendance except for those who have chosen remote learning.
