Sheriff’s Department Makes More Burglary and Theft Arrests

The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Department has made more arrests for recent burglaries and thefts.

50 year old Royce Avon Foster of Fisher Avenue, Smithville is charged with burglary and theft of property. His bond is $10,000 and he will be in court June 18.

Sheriff Patrick Ray said that on May 30 Foster broke into a shed/garage building on Holiday Haven Road and stole a 50 foot extension cord valued at $50.

35 year old Danny Ray Prater of Airport Lake Road, McMinnville is charged with burglary and vandalism under $1,000. His bond totals $6,500 and he will be in court June 18.

Sheriff Ray said that on May 31 Prater broke into a 1970 Chevy Impala at property on East Broad Street, Smithville tampering with the ignition and causing other damage totaling $700 (damage)

25 year old Victor Manuel Hernandez is charged with violation of an order of protection. His bond is $1,500 and he will make a court appearance June 25.

Sheriff Ray said that on June 7 a deputy responded to Bright Hill Road in Smithville to serve an order of protection warrant on Hernandez. Under the order Hernandez was to leave the residence but he refused to do so even after being served with the warrant.
