James Edward Stanley

Mr. James Edward Stanley age 93 of Smithville, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, November 29, 2021 at his residence. He was born September 1, 1928 to his parents, the Howard and Inez Turner Stanley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dean Stanley; daughter, Paulette Bain; son, Steve Stanley; grandson, Stevie Stanley; 1 great-grandbaby; 4 brothers, J P Stanley, Landon Stanley, W T Stanley and Dickie Stanley; 2 sisters, Neidra Dickson and Evelyn Melton. He was a faithful member of the Smithville Church of Christ and a farmer. He leaves to cherish his memory, 5 grandchildren, Lori (Manuel) Ramirez of Smithville, Jamie (Arturo) Ramirez of Smithville, Tammy Moser of Nashville, Paul Stanley of Blues Hill and Jimmy Pirtle of Smithville; son-in-law, Randy Bain of Smithville; 16 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 11:AM Thursday December 2, 2021 at the Smithville Church of Christ with Bro. Dan Gulley officiating and burial will follow in Blues Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday 3 PM until 7 PM at DeKalb Funeral Chapel and on Thursday 9:AM until the time of the service at 11:AM at the Smithville Church of Christ. In addition to flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Mission Fund at the Smithville Church of Christ. The funeral home lounge is closed at this time and no food or drinks are allowed in the funeral home. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.




Billy Joe Rigsby

November 29, 2021

Billy Joe Rigsby age 64 of Smithville passed away November 24, 2021 at his residence. He was born June 18, 1957 to his parents the late Jewell Brown “Red” and Elizabeth Pascal Rigsby. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Eulalia Ann Rigsby; brothers, Ronald Dean Rigsby, James “Jim” Rigsby, Floyd Lynn Rigsby, Danny Marlin Rigsby, Donald “Donnie” Rigsby. He was of the Baptist Faith and worked in nursery and a farmer. He is survived by sisters; Melissa King, and Margie Miller of Smithville; brothers, Lloyd Rigsby and Bob (Vanessa) Rigsby of Smithville; sister-in-law, Elaine Rigsby; many nieces and nephews; very special friend, Marla Turner of Smithville; granddaughter, Makayla Turner; special friend, David Turner; step-children, Kelly Gohs and Joy Woodell. Graveside services and interment will be 1:30 PM Tuesday November 30, 2021 at Jefferson Cemetery with Bro. Michael Hale officiating. There will be no visitation or services held at the funeral home, family and friends will meet at the cemetery for the graveside service at 1:30PM. The family ask in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Jefferson Cemetery Fund, in memory of Billy Joe. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.




Tim Sigler

November 22, 2021

Mr. Timothy Lee Sigler, age 57 of Smithville, TN passed away Friday evening, November 19, 2021 at his residence.

Mr. Sigler was born on April 14, 1964 in Hillsdale, Michigan to his parents, the late Jack Sr. & Shirley Ann Dunlap Sigler. Also preceding him in death is his wife, Deb Sigler. Mr. Sigler formerly worked as a cabinet maker for Smithport Cabinetry and was a United States Air Force Veteran.

The family of Mr. Sigler has chosen cremation. A memorial service will be held at a later time in Michigan.

Survivors include his Son, Austin Sigler of Smithville, TN & two Daughters, Destiny Sigler & Chelesa (Randy) Belman all of Addison, MI. Grandchildren, Rage, Amelia, Derrick & Makenlee all of Michigan. Step Son, James Elkins of Michigan. Sisters, Amy (Chet) Schaedler of Hillsdale, MI & Shirley (David) Curtis of Camden, MI. Brother, Jack Jr. (Connie) Sigler of Camden, MI. Love-Cantrell Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements>




Randall Scott Curtis

November 21, 2021

Randall Scott Curtis was born March 15, 1962 in Lebanon, Tn. and departed this life in Arkansas. He was a carpenter and worked construction most of his life. He was preceded in death by his brother, Donald Hudson Curtis, his grandparents, Ova J. and Marguerie Curtis and JC and Sammie Mathis and brother-in-law, Larry Dale Martin. He is survived by his Parents, Billy and Bobbie Curtis of Liberty, his Children, Kandy Carmelita Curtis of Lebanon and Kasey Elaine (Jeffery) Petrocelli of Bowling Green, KY., One brother, Ronald Jay Curtis, Sister, Connie Ann Martin, His Grandchildren, Caster Ian Scott Curtis, Gloria Katherine Williams and Gabriel Christopher Dutch. He is survived by one Great-Grandchild, Krimson Kye Williams and his niece, Natasha (Franklin) Figgins. Visitation with the family will be Wednesday, November 24th from noon till time of Memorial Service at 1 PM with Bro. Wilson Williams officiating and interment to follow in New Hope Cemetery. Thomas Earl “Tom” Lee

November 20, 2021

Thomas Earl “Tom” Lee age 86 of Smithville, passed away Thursday morning, November 19, 2021 at The Waters of Winchester. He was born October 30, 1935 in Louisiana. He was preceded in death by 2 children, Patricia Gale Lee and Nathan Wayne Lee; 4 siblings, Patsy Stogner, Mary Lee, James Lee and Kelly Lee. Tom was a truck driver, factory worker and security guard. He served his country in the United States Army. He was affiliated with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in McMinnville. He is survived by his wife, Alda Lee of Smithville; 11 children, Thomas Earl Lee, Jr., Kerry Glenn Lee, Tammy Louise Lee, Darlene Marie Lee, Donald Ray Lee, Linda Martin, Paul Eugene Lee, Connie Jane Lee Stacey, Joyce Ann Lee Ferrell, Marty Robbins Lee and Milton Robert Lee; 36 grandchildren and 47 great-grandchildren also survive. Graveside services and interment will be 1 PM Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at DeKalb Memorial Gardens with Bro. Michael Hale and Dave Johnson officiating and military honors will be conducted by the Veterans Honor Guard. Visitation with the family will be on Wednesday 11:AM until 12:45 PM at which time Mr. Lee will be taken to the cemetery for the graveside service. The funeral home lounge is closed at this time and no food or drinks are allowed in the funeral home. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.




Rebecca Wolfe Pittard

November 19, 2021

Rebecca Wolfe Pittard age 72 of McMinnville, went to be with the Lord on Thursday November 18, 2021 at her residence. She was born June 9, 1949 to her parents, the late Henry C. and Orpha Martin Parker. She was a Baptist and a Pharmaceutical Delivery person. The family has honored her wishes to be cremated. Her cremains will be buried at a later date at DeKalb Cemetery. Survivors include her companion and caregiver: William H. Morris of McMinnville; her baby dog: Precious; Special friends: Ruthie O’Connell of Ohio, Tammy West and Kathy McDaniel both of McMinnville; Special Nephew: Shannon (Heidi) Herman. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
