Jessica Hope Elkins age 33 of Walling, Tn passed away Sunday March 20, 2022. She was born August 6, 1988 to her parents, Billy & Karen Murphy. She worked in Fast Food Restaurants. She was preceded in death by her grandparents: Wilma Sanders, Charlie & Betty Murphy. Graveside services will be held 2 PM Friday at Philadelphia Cemetery in Walling, TN. No visitation will be held at the funeral home. Friends and family will meet at the cemetery. Survivors include her parents: Billy & Karen Murphy of Doyle, Tn.; Children: Keyosha, Kamora, Lamar, Jr., Reedus; Siblings: Veronica (David) Jauregui of Sparta, Kayla (Matthew) Collins of Arkansas, Shelby (Sherman) Murphy of Florida, Shania (Tyler) Miller of Quebec, Dallas Murphy of Spencer; Maternal Grandfather: Lincoln Spencer. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
Randy David Bain

Randy David Bain age 68 of Smithville passed away Tuesday March 22, 2022 at St. Thomas DeKalb Hospital in Smithville. He was born August 5, 1953 to his parents, the late Creston Bain and Joyce Ervin Maynard. Randy was an Electrical Wiring Technician and affiliated with the Church of Christ. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Paulette Bain; Half-brother: Brent Bain; Infant siblings: Kenny, Pam and Jeff Bain; Father and mother-in-law: James & Eunice Stanley. Funeral services will be held 11:AM Saturday at DeKalb Funeral Chapel and burial to follow in DeKalb Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family will be Friday 3:PM until 7:PM and Saturday 9:AM until the time of the service at 11:AM. Survivors include Daughter: Tammy Moser of Antioch; Brother: Larry Bain of Smithville; Niece: Karem (Kyle) Coker of Fayetta, Al.; Nephew: Creston Bain of Smithville; Several nieces, nephews and cousins; Step-Father: Bobby Maynard, Sr. The funeral home lounge is closed at this time and NO FOOD or DRINKS are allowed in the building. Glynn Davis Young

Mr. Glynn Davis Young aka “Silver Fox,” age 78 of Hendersonville, Tennessee passed away on Thursday, March 17, 2022 at NHC Place Sumner. Mr. Young was born on June 20, 1943 in Smithville, Tennessee to the late Charles and Evelyn Davis Young.
Mr. Young is survived by his daughter, Nikki (Johnny) Knight; brother, Gene Austin (Betty) Young; grandchildren, Eric (Megan) Knight, Kaley (Clint) Mangrum, Chad (Danyell) Knight; great-grandchildren, Allie, Emma, Emberlyn, Everly, Jaryn, and Chalee.
Along with his parents, Glynn was preceded in death by his brother, Danny Stephen Young and sister, Judy Young Rich.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, March 21st at 12 PM from the chapel of Sellars Funeral Home at Hendersonville with Bro. Randy Goodman officiating. Interment will follow the service at Griffin Cemetery on Young’s Farm in Smithville, Tennessee at approximately 2 PM with Johnny Knight, Eric Knight, Clint Mangrum, Mason Young, Bret Bouldin, and Carl Hancock serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Gary Chappel, Ron Marcou, Gary Gill, Gordon Gill, Gray Gill, Jim Adams, Ronnie Marks, Kenneth Turner, and L.G. Green. Visitation with the family will be Sunday, March 20th from 1:00-5:00 PM and Monday, March 21st from 10:00 AM until time of service.

Mrs. Audine Turner Pack, age 90, passed away on Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at her home.
Audine was born on January 23, 1932 in Smithville, TN to her parents, James & Mary Frances Adcock Barnes. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, James Gentry, son- Jimmy A. Turner, infant daughter- Regina Ann Turner, Grandson- Eric Lee Hawkins, 2 brothers- Aubrey (Cilla) Barnes, Austin & (Maudy Lee) Barnes and 1 sister- Odale & (Sterline) Cantrell.
Funeral services for Mrs. Pack will be on Friday, March 18, 2022 at 2:00pm from the chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Bro. Frank Randolph will be officiating. Burial will follow in Jefferson Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be on Thursday from 5 to 8 and Friday 10 until time of service at 2pm.
Survivors include her husband, Ernest Junior Pack, 2 daughters- Judy “Pat” & Gary Mucha and Treba & Don Hawkins all of Smithville, 3 grandchildren- Tracy Stanley, Trent & Michelle Hawkins all of Smithville and Megan Danielle Turner of Texas. 2 great-grandchildren- Eathan Ray Stanley & Faith Deck, special friends- Brenda Caldwell, Evelyn Young, Donna Knowles, Orthana Young & Dar Womack, special caregiver and friend- Carolyn Dyer of Smithville.

Dr. James Reynolds II

Dr. James Arthur Reynolds, II age 61 of the Pates Ford community of DeKalb County, passed away Tuesday night, March 15, 2022 at the Emergency Room of St. Thomas DeKalb Hospital.
Dr. James A. Reynolds II was born in Greenwood, South Carolina on March 9, 1961 to Lillie Ruth and James Reynolds. Jimbo as he was affectionately known during his childhood grew up in Salisbury North Carolina. After finishing high school, James attended Lee McRae College in Banner Elk for his undergraduate degree transferring to Wake Forrest to pursue a doctorate of medicine degree. But as the Lord would have it, Jim injured his back and visited a chiropractor that change his whole life. He changed his major and college to Life Chiropractic College in Marietta Georgia and had a fulfilling practice that included adjusting both human patients and their respective pets. Dr. Reynolds’ passion for animal adjusting led him to becoming an instructor at Health Pioneers Institute teaching other chiropractors and veterinarians this art of healing.
Jim had many passions and God given talents such as music. Jim’s beautiful voice could be heard singing with Lanny White, the Foxfire Newgrass Band, Gemstone and with his sister Paige but his favorite was singing in church. Jim also had a talent for preaching the gospel whether to his wonderful animal clients or to his wife on a trip or to a clerk behind a counter at a store or in the pulpit at church, Jim loved serving the Lord this way. He was exercising and liberated to becoming an elder of the Primitive Baptist Church before his death.
The Lord blessed his family to have had Jim a part of their lives, his wife Jean was the love of his life and shared many exciting adventures together. He was an excellent example to his son of how to be a Godly man. One of the family adventures was opening Juicy’s Wellness Café in Cookeville with his son Kent.
He was preceded in death by his father, James A Reynolds & grandparents, Glen & Lillie Mae McKinney. Jim leaves behind to cherish his memory, Jean Reynolds, wife of 22 years, Kenton Wayne Hawkins (Melinda), son, Wyatt Wayne Hawkins, grandson, Lillie Ruth Chautin (Gerald), mother, Paige Bragg (John), sister, Anna Sigmon, niece, Beth Compton (Bryan), sister by friendship, Several cousins, aunts and uncles, A host of colleagues, friends and brothers and sisters in the Lord.
Celebration of Life services will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2022 at 2pm from the chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Elder Andrew Huffman will officiate. Visitation with the family will be held on Saturday from 11am until the time of the services at 2pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Camp Moriah, a Christian camp that was near and dear to Jim’s heart. He loved teaching children how to play music, fish or other outdoor activities while showing the many aspects of God through these activities. Forrest “Frosty” Byrd

Mr. Forrest “Frosty” Byrd age 64 of McMinnville, TN and a DeKalb County native passed away Saturday, March 5, 2022 at St. Thomas Midtown Hospital in Nashville.
Mr. Byrd was born on October 25, 1957 in Nashville, TN to his parents, the late Melvin & Gladys Adamson Byrd. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Clay Byrd and sisters, Vetrice Cook, Toledo Byrd & Dean Yaney. He was self-employed.
Burial was at Salem Cemetery in Liberty, TN
Survivors include his companion & caregiver, Michelle Johnson of McMinnville, TN. Brother, Jerry Byrd of Smithville, TN. Several nieces & nephews also survive.
Love-Cantrell Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
