Gloria Jean Martin age 76 passed away Tuesday night November 24, 2020 at her residence. She was born March 4, 1944 to her parents, the late Jess Shelby and Eva Lera Luna Judkins. She was a retired Factory Worker, Social Worker at the School System, Homemaker & visited the Nursing Home, she was also of the Baptist Faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Billy E. Martin; Grandson: Daniel Wayne Martin; 8 siblings: Hobert, John, Norval, Harry and Lewis Judkins, Earline Jeffries, Elsie Adcock, Mary Adcock. Funeral Services for Ms. Gloria will be held 3:30PM Saturday at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bro. Danny Parker officiating and burial to follow in DeKalb Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Saturday from 1 PM until the time of the service at 3:30PM. Due to COVID-19 and Social Distancing guidelines, we ask for the health and safety of everyone that you please exercise social distancing. The funeral home pews are marked off to respect the guidelines and allow 100-125 people for the service. Our kitchen facilities are closed at this time and No food or drinks are allowed in the funeral home. Survivors include children: Douglas L. Martin, Donald W. Martin both of Smithville, Lisa Kay Martin of Sun City, AZ; Grandchildren: Cody E. Martin, Laura L. Martin, Martha L. Gibbs, Phillip A. Martin, Lakota D. Cope, Lia A. Emogene Turner Bailey

Mrs. Emogene Turner Bailey of Smithville, TN passed away Monday, November 23, 2020 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.
She was a retired beautician and a member of Old Ragular Baptist Church.
Mrs. Bailey was born in Dickenson, Virgina to her parents, the late Avery and Luevirta Turner. Also preceding her in death was two children, Ola Ann Reynolds and Michael Wayne Robinson; one brother, Arvid Turner, and one sister, Delma Ruth Land.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, November 28, 2020 at 1pm from the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Entombment will follow at DeKalb Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family will be on Friday from 1-5 pm & on Saturday, from 11am until the service time at 1pm. Due to Covid-19 precautions, social distance measures will be observed. We are also not accepting food in our kitchen facilities.
Survivors include her husband, Elder Arnold Bailey; daughter, Tommye Lou Bell; grandson, Elder Josh Bell; and sister, Brenda Ray all of Smithville. Several Nieces & Nephews also survive.

Gearline Jones age 70 of Alexandria died Saturday evening, Nov. 21, 2020 at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro. Born Jan. 5, 1950 in Alexandria, she was the daughter of the late Eldon and Jessie Lee George and was preceded in death by her husband, Garlin Jones; brother, Melvin George and a sister, Janette (Jim) Moss. She was a graduate of Dekalb Co. High School and was a factory worker and caregiver. Gearline was a member of Liberty Hill Presbyterian Church. She is survived by a sister, Eldon Lee (Robert) Vanatta of Smithville; nephews, Randy (Kim) Moss, Greg (Wendy) Moss; niece, Kim (Richard) Young; great nieces and nephews, Ashlee (Nathan) Thomason, Whitney (Andy) Brelje, Derek Young, Jada Moss, Allen Moss; great great nieces and nephews, Grady, Emma and Wade Thomason, Thomas, Will and Anna Brelje; and many cousins and friends. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2020 at the Odum Cemetery in Auburntown with Bro. Tim Diffenderfer and Bro. Nathan Thomason officiating. Visitation 9 a.m. till Noon Tuesday at Hunter Funeral Home in Watertown. Pallbearers, Randy and Greg Moss, Allen Moss, Andy Brelje, Richard Young, Derek Young. Honorary pallberers, Grady and Wade Thomason, Thomas and Will Brelje.

Reva Inez Judkins age 77 of Smithville, passed away Monday morning, November 23, 2020 at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro. She was born April 7, 1943 to her parents, the late Robert Pedigo and Irene Walker Pedigo Lattimore. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 2 children, Kathy Diane and Margie Diane; brother, Elmus Lattimore; 2 half-brothers, James Estil Lattimore and Aaron Pedigo; half-sister, Frances Bandy. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church. Reva worked many years at Texas Boot and Timers, she also worked at the nursing home and lastly at Florence and White Ford. She is survived by 2 children, Joyce Ann Judkins and Alvin Judkins both of Smithville; 5 grandchildren, Jeff, Robert, Kelly and Abby Judkins and Jada Chamblee; special great-granddaughter, Makaiyla Judkins; several great-grandchildren; half-brother, Elvis (Deborah) Pedigo; sister, Marie Luna; sister-in-law, Freda Phillips. Funeral services will be 11:AM Saturday November 28, 2020 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bro. Michael Hale officiating and burial will follow in Cantrell Cemetery. Rebecca Mai Thomas age 84 of Alexandria, died Friday evening, Nov. 20, 2020 at St. Thomas Dekalb Hospital in Smithville. Born Nov. 11, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Cecil Ray and Maggie Green Cripps Ray and was preceded in death by a her daughter, Shirley Clemons. Becky was a graduate of Liberty High School and was a longtime employee of the Sunset Restaurant in Lebanon. She is survived by her sons, Billy Ray Thomas of Alexandria and Joe Larry Thomas and his wife, Mary Etta of Watertown; grandchildren, Kristie (Stacey) Dixon, Justin (Paige) Thomas, Travis (Brandye) Thomas and Cody Thomas; great grandchildren, Jaxon, Parker, Bailey, Zoey, Jordan and Taylor; sister, Jean Herman and her husband, Frank of Alexandria; nephew, Scott (Kim) Herman of Cookeville and great nephew, Gabriel. Funeral service 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2020 at Hunter Funeral Home with Bro. Don Mathis officiating. Visitation 3-8 p.m. Monday and 10 a.m. till service time Tuesday. Gena Gail James age 72 of Smithville and native of Warren County, passed away Wednesday morning, November 18, 2020 at NHC HealthCare Center in Smithville. She was born October 16, 1948 to her parents, the late Bobby and Wilma Moore James. She was disabled and a member of the New Union The Baptist Church. Gena Gail is survived by her brother, Dan (Faye) James of McMinnville. Graveside services and interment will be 2 PM Friday, November 20, 2020 at DeKalb Memorial Gardens with Bro. Michael Hale officiating. There will not be any visitation at the funeral home, family and friends will meet at the cemetery for the graveside service at 2 PM. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
