Ms. Hassie Charlotte Craddock, age 80 of Smithville passed away on Saturday, August 8, 2020 at St. Thomas Hospital West in Nashville.
Ms. Craddock was born December 20, 1939 in Walling, TN to her parents, the late Noah & May Roberts Ursery. Also preceding her in death is her Husband, Loye Craddock, a Daughter & Son, Lorena Collier & Loyd Craddock & several Brothers & Sisters. She was retired from Federal Mogul and was of the Baptist faith.
A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, August 11, 2020 at 1pm at the Old Philadelphia Cemetery in Walling, TN. Bro. Dan Gulley will officiate. There will be no visitation held at the funeral home. Family and friends will gather at the cemetery just prior to the 1pm service.
Survivors include a Daughter, Judy McBride of Smithville. 2 Grandchildren, Marlana Quick of Nashville & Regena (Randy) Pedigo of Smithville. Great Grandchild, Addison. Sister, Myrtle Hardway of Ohio.

Billy King Stone age 89 of Long Creek Community in Macon County, TN passed away Thursday evening, August 6th, 2020 at Hendersonville Medical Center.
Private Graveside Services for Billy King Stone will be conducted from the Macon County Memorial Gardens in Lafayette with Brother Harold King officiating.
Family requests memorials be made to the Macon County Terminal Illness Fund. You may make these memorial by calling or coming by the Funeral Home.
He is preceded in death by wife Bonnie Howser Stone, Father Frank Stone and mother Lula Mae Bass.
He is survived by son, Terry and wife Jennifer Stone of Duluth, Georgia, daughter Jill Stone Wallace of Lafayette, grandsons; Adam and Cody Wallace, granddaughter, Nora Stone, sisters; Mary Bailey of Alexandria, and Bobbie Fite of Lebanon, brothers; Joe and Ernest Stone all of Smithville.

Linda Joyce Cartwright age 67, of Smithville passed away August 5, 2020 at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville. She was born October 17, 1952 in Muskogee, Oklahoma to her parents the late Jesse Elvin and Alice Louise Wilson Cox. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her daughter, Armanda Louise Cartwright; brother, Gary Eugene Cox. She was a member of Smithville Church of Christ where she taught Bible school classes for the younger children. She lived her life serving the Lord also having made a missionary trip to the Ukraine in 2001. Ms. Cartwright worked many years in the dietary department at NHC in Smithville. Her love for crocheting gave many elderly people a lap cover to call their own and she always had several to give to hurricane and tornado relief efforts. She is survived by a brother, Stanley (Judy) Cox of Oklahoma; sister, Debra Robertson of Smithville; brother, Victor “Indian” Wilson of Lascassas; nieces, Erica Highers of Smithville, Bridget (Bob) Hailey of Oklahoma, Andrea Fulton of Oklahoma; nephews Austen Highers and Jesse Cox of Smithville; great nephews, Cameron, Bryce, Garrett; great nieces, Taylor and Brooklyn; many close friends that are considered family. A memorial service will be held Monday August 10, 2020 at 1:00PM with Bro, Dan Gulley officiating. The family is honoring Ms. Cartwrights wishes to be cremated. Visitation will be Monday August 10, 2020 12:Noon until the time of the service at 1:00PM. Due to the COVID-19, the Governors Executive Order 38 and Social Distancing Guidelines; Our pews in the Chapel are marked off to respect the guidelines and allow approximately 100-125 people for the service, we ask for the health and safety of everyone that you please exercise Social Distancing. Michael Joseph Lasser age 47, passed away Tuesday August, 4, 2020 at his residence in Princeton, Kentucky. He was born December 28, 1972 to his parents, Harry and Edith Stout Lasser. Mr. Lasser worked as a Therapist and was a member of The First Christian Church of Princeton, Kentucky. He is survived by his life partner, David Rogers of Kentucky; parents, Harry and Edith Lasser of Smithville; brothers, Harry and Brian Lasser of Smithville; special cousin, Melissa Lefever of Tennessee; nieces, Elizabeth, Hannah, Emily, and Allie; nephews, Alex, Nate, and Matthew; many cousins, aunts and uncles also survive, Funeral services will be 5:PM Friday August 7, 2020 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel. Visitation will be Friday August 7, 2020 at 3:00PM until the time of the service at 5:00PM at DeKalb Funeral Chapel. Alan E. Stengel age 76 of Smithville and a former resident of Oregon, passed away Friday night, July 31, 2020 at St. Thomas DeKalb Hospital ER. He was born September 17, 1943 in Portland, Maine to his parents, the late LeRoy and Ruth Field Stengel. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 brothers, David and Robert Stengel. Alan was a U.S. Navy and Air Force Veteran with 14 years service to our country. He is survived by his wife, Judy Stengel of Smithville; son, Erik Stengel of Colorado; daughter, Donna Stengel Anderson of Oklahoma; daughter, Julie Vincent and son-in-law, Darrin Vincent of Smithville; son, Kevin (Missy) Bailey of Windham, ME; grandchildren, Retha Stengel of California, Shelby (Abby) Morris of Tulsa, OK, Alexandria Morris of Stillwater, OK, Zachary Vincent and fiancé, Olivia Grace Odom, Victoria Vincent, Chandler Vincent and Taylor Vincent all of Smithville, Cassidy Bailey and Aubrey Bailey both of Windham, ME. Funeral services will be 1 PM Thursday, August 6, 2020 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bro. Bernard Houk officiating and burial will follow in Keltonburg Cemetery with Military Honors conducted by the Veterans Honor Guard. Visitation with the family will be on Thursday 12 Noon until the time of the service at 1 PM. Mr. Timothy Lynn Culwell, age 51 of Smithville, passed away Monday morning, August 3, 2020 at St. Thomas DeKalb Hospital.
Timothy was born on December 25, 1968 to his mother, Linda Matthews Culwell and his father, the late Boyd Culwell. Also preceding him in death is a brother, Jimmy Ray Culwell Sr. Nephew & niece, Matt Bates & Christy Culwell. Timothy was of the Freewill Baptist faith.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 6, 2020 at 1pm from the chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Bro. Andy Patterson will officiate and burial will follow at Bonham Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be on Wednesday, from 3-8pm and Thursday, from 10am until the service time at 1pm. Due to Covid-19 precautions, social distance measures will be observed. We are temporarily not accepting food in our kitchen facilities.
Survivors include his long time Companion, Cookie Johnson of Sparta; her 2 children: Tiffany and Robert Patrick, and Travis and Savannah Melton of Smithville; and her grandchildren: Topanga Patrick , Keirra Patrick, and Weston Melton all of Smithville. Mother: Linda Culwell of Smithville. 1 Sister: Debra Bates of Cookeville. 2 Brothers: Roger Culwell, and Jonathon and Janessa Culwell all of Smithville. Nieces and Nephews: Nickie and Keith Rogers, Carla and Dough Bundrant, Regina and Kyle Geer, and Jennifer and Cody Hawkins all of Cookeville, Hannah Culwell, Noah Culwell, and Jimmy Ray Culwell, Jr. all of Smithville. Several great nieces and nephews also survive.
