Anita Bogle Thornton, age 60, of Smyrna, TN passed away on Wednesday, July 17 at Vanderbilt Medical Center. She was a Baptist and a factory worker. The funeral will be on Saturday, July 20 at 1 p.m. at the chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home with interment to follow in Salem Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be on Friday from 3pm-8pm and on Saturday from 9am until the time of service at 1pm. Ms. Thornton was preceded in death by her parents, Lemuel Thomas and Betty Mai Nokes Bogle; 1 brother, Daniel Bogle; and 1 sister, Wanda Harrison. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Bethany and Keith Saddler of Statesville; 3 grandchildren, Hayley Saddler, Shane Saddler, and Hannah Saddler all of Statesville; 1 great-grandchild, Sydney Rae Saddler; 1 brother, Thomas Bogle of Liberty; 4 sisters, Brenda and Thurman Bennett of Lebanon, Marie and Kenneth Derting of Liberty, Elsie and Ray Fish of Statesville, and Lisa and Dewayne Bowen of Liberty; Several nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive. Sterling A. Harrell

Sterling A. Harrell, 82, of Murfreesboro passed away Monday, July 15, 2019 at St. Thomas West hospital. He was a native of Cannon Co.
He is survived by his wife, Wilma Ball Harrell of Woodbury; children, Brenda McKenzie, Beverly Wallace and Brian Harrell and his wife, Monica all of Murfreesboro; grandchildren, Jessica Wallace, Julie Wallace Walker and her husband Brian all of Nashville and Cassy McKenzie of Murfreesboro; stepchildren, Jackie Elliott and her husband, Larry of McMinnville and Ricky Ball of Woodbury; brothers, William Howard Harrell and his wife, Mildred of Murfreesboro and Russell Harrell and his wife, Jo of Lawrenceville, GA. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Mr. Harrell was preceded in death by his parents, Nollie and Hettie Campbell Harrell; his first wife, Geneva Blanks Harrell and his siblings, Glen Harrell, Sepal Boren and Pauline Jones.
Sterling was a member of the Kingwood Church of Christ and was retired from Colonial Corp. as the plant manager. He also managed other privately-owned plants throughout TN. Mr. Harrell loved his employees and was very passionate about his job as he was a cornerstone of his community and in the garment industry. He would spend most of his mornings drinking coffee with his friends at Hardee’s “liars table”. Sterling enjoyed fishing, camping, gardening and yard work but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family.
Funeral services will be 11 am Friday, July 19, 2019 in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home with Bro. Herb Alsup and Bro. Doug Hutchins officiating. Interment will follow in the Riverside Gardens cemetery. Visitation with his family will be from 4 pm until 8 pm, Thursday, July 18, 2019 and Friday from 10 am until time of his service. Pallbearers include, Eric Parker, Ricky Ball, Bobby Francis, Brian Walker, David Godwin and Manny Camara. Larry Elliott and Martin Harrell will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Jeanette Key Linnan age 78 of Liberty and a native of Booneville, MS, passed away Monday morning, July 15, 2019 at St. Thomas DeKalb Hospital. She was born July 4, 1941 to her parents, the late Vernon and Aera Sweeney Key. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Tom Linnan. Ms. Jeanette was a member of the Church of Christ and an electrician. She is survived by children, Douglas (Janine) Morgan of Liberty, Susan Voce of Huntsville, AL and Daniel Bryce Richie of Booneville, MS; 9 grandchildren, McKenzie Dunaway, Craig Wilusz, Anna Grantham, Abby Voce, Austin Hart, Savannah Packard, Chandler Packard, Landon Richie and Conner Richie; 3 great-grandchildren, Jackson, Lilly Claire and Henry Dunaway; 2 sisters, Carolyn Duncan of Ripley, MS and Erma Ruth Buchanan of Pensacola, FL. The family of Ms. Jeanette have chosen a direct cremation and a Memorial Service will be held 2:00PM Saturday, July 20, 2019 at McMillan Funeral Home in Booneville, MS. Dorla Nixon Moore age 85 of Dowelltown, Tn. passed away Monday, July 15, 2019 at St Thomas DeKalb Hospital. She was a retired bookkeeper at Family Medical, and member of the Indian Creek Baptist Church. Ms. Moore was preceded in death by her parents Haskell and Eliza Nixon, and husband Kenneth Moore. Survivors include son Joel Moore, Granddaughter Caitlin Moore and Cris Bird all of Dowelltown, and brother Robert L. Nixon of Michigan. Funeral services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at the chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home with burial at DeKalb Memorial Gardens. Bro. Thurman Seber will officiate. Visitation will be Wednesday from 10 AM-8 PM and Thursday from 10 AM until services at 2 PM. Donations may be made to Lighthouse Christian Camp or to The Gideons. Ruth Reilly age 88 of Smithville passed away Thursday night, July 11, 2019 at her residence in Smithville. She was born March 18, 1931 to her parents, the late Alfred and Elizabeth Alice Taylor. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Reilly and 2 sons, George Reilly, Jr. and James Reilly. She was a Christian and worked in housekeeping at Princeton Medical Center. Ms. Ruth is survived by 3 children, Anna Carr of Smithville, Diane Kisamore of Sunset Beach, NC and Joseph Reilly of New Jersey; 9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. The family has chosen a direct cremation and a service will be held at a later time. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.

Sharon Kay Paschal age 60 of Alexandria, died Saturday evening, July 13, 2019 at her residence. Born June 26, 1959, she was the daughter of Phyllis Anderson Paschal and the late James Carl “Chigger” Paschal. Sharon was a graduate of Dekalb County High School and attended the Baptist church. She was night manager at Prichard’s Foods in Alexandria. Sharon is survived by her mother, Phyllis Paschal of Alexandria; sisters, Pam (Aaron) Huddleston of Alexandria and Lanee (Terry) Young of Mt. Juliet; brother, Ron (Tina) Paschal of Alexandria; nieces and nephews, Brandon (Lauren) Huddleston, Beth (Aaron) Eakes, Lincoln (Amy) Young, Whitney (Hunter) Wharton, Justin Paschal, Jessica (Sean) Leiser and several great nieces and nephews that she dearly loved. Funeral services 2 p.m. Monday, July 15, 2019 at Anderson Funeral Home with Bro. Doug Dillard and Stein Prichard officiating. Visitation 3-8 p.m. Sunday and 10 a.m. till service time on Monday.
