Lance Corporal Alberto Lucio was born on May 28, 2001 in Smithville, Tennessee. He joined the Marine Corps on September 9, 2019 and was given the military occupational specialty of Military Police. Upon completion of his basic training at Parris Island, South Carolina he went on to complete Marine Combat Training at Camp Geiger, North Carolina and Military Police Basic Course at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. Upon completion of MOS school then PFC Lucio reported to the Provost Marshal’s Office, Security and Emergency Services Battalion, Camp Pendleton California. PFC Lucio was assigned to 2nd Platoon, Military Police Company. He was promoted to the rank of Lance Corporal in 2020. He established himself as a Marine of good conduct and great character who could be counted on to assist anyone in need.
While serving with Military Police Company, LCpl Lucio was charged with the duties of maintaining the well-being and safety of Camp Pendleton’s Marines and civilians. His good nature and sincerity earned him the admiration and the respect of all he came in contact with. His friendly nature and warm hearted demeanor endeared him to everyone, and set him apart as someone his peers could confide and find friendship in. Throughout his time in the Marine Corps, LCpl Lucio distinguished himself as a dedicated professional and a Marine of great character. He received the National Defense Service Medal and the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal. As a man, Marine, husband, and friend, he was deeply admired and will be fondly remembered and sorely missed.
Lance Corporal Alberto Lucio is survived by his wife Stephany Lucio; parents, Jose Alberto Lucio (Father), Nereyda C. Lucio (Mother); sisters, Erika Alejandra Lucio, and Abigail Grace Lucio.
Funeral services will be on Saturday, December 18 at 2:30pm at First Assembly of God. Visitation with the family will be from 10am until 2pm at Love-Cantrell Funeral Home chapel. Love-Cantrell Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
