Mr. Anthony “Tony” Ensley Hagan was born to Judge Willard Hagan and Madeline Bobo Hagan in Lebanon, TN. He practiced law for over 40 years in Lebanon, Greeneville, and Smithville, TN. He also served as an Assistant District Attorney for the Third Judicial District. He felt honored to be on the Smithville Electric System Board of Directors for 12 years. He was a member of the Smithville First Baptist Church and loved singing hymns. Along with his legal career, he was a businessman, investor, and a land developer.
He is survived by his wife, Frankie Hendrixson Hagan; his mother, Madeline Hagan; son, Anthony Ensley Hagan and wife Andrea; daughter, Madeline Darst and husband Jeff; grandchildren, Emeline, Anthony Ensley, III, and Natalie Hagan and Thatcher Darst; stepchildren, Emily Bell and husband Rodney, Rebekah Taylor and husband Jeff, stepgrandchildren, Lucy Hebb, Lincoln Eliza and Will Grant Taylor; sister, Melinda Porter and husband Kendall; nephews, Bill and wife Jenny, Chad and wife Tonya, and Stephen Porter.
Love-Cantrell Funeral Home is in charge of interment. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 26 at 2 pm at the Smithville First Baptist Church. Visitation with the family will be from 12 until the time of the service at 2 pm. Bro. Chad Ramsey will be officiating.
