Charlotte M. Johnson age 55 of Smithville, passed away Wednesday afternoon at St. Thomas DeKalb Hospital ER. She was born May 30, 1965. She was preceded in death by her parents, Anna Sue and James Bedford Knight; two brothers Joe Glenn Knight and James Phillip Knight; sister- in-law, Ledia Nokes. She is survived by one son, Bobby Johnson of Smithville, TN; sister, Frances (Lee) Watts and 2 brothers, Zolly Knight and Albert Knight; 2 daughters by heart and choice, Sandra Knight and Sue Knight; 1 granddaughter, Maria Johnson and grandchildren by heart and choice, Navaya, Anna, Romeo, Katelyn Knight and Chris Gibbs; 3 great grandchildren by choice; special niece and nephew Misty Blue Willingham and Stevie Watts; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and great nieces and nephews. She was a great soul that we know is now walking with her mommy, in the glory of heaven. Graveside services and interment will be 1 PM Sunday, November 29, 2020 at DeKalb Cemetery. There will be no visitation or services at the funeral home, family and friends will meet at the cemetery for the service at 1 PM. We would like to extend our greatest appreciation to Mike at Dekalb Funeral Chapel, and to all of those that donated for her service, she’s gone from this life to live the best. Due to COVID-19, we ask for the health and safety of everyone that you please exercise social distancing. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to DeKalb Funeral Chapel to help with funeral expenses. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
