Deloris Darnell Hutchings age 51 of Smithville passed away at her residence Saturday August 8, 2020. She was born January 4, 1969 to her parents Edward “Buck” and Janie Barnes Hutchings. She was preceded in death by her twin brother, Jamie Douglas Hutchings; grandparents, Everett and Louise Hutchings and Herman and Vella Barnes; many aunts and uncles also preceded her in death. Ms. Hutchings worked at Prospect and was a homemaker, was also affiliated with The Freewill Baptist Church. She is survived by her parents, Edward “Buck” and Janie Hutchings of Smithville; brothers, Donathan (Kelly) Hutchings of AL, and Jonathan (Tina) Hutchings of McMinnville; sister Janet (Joey) Nichols of Celina; niece and special caregiver, Kelly (John) Licht of McMinnville; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, aunts and uncles and many friends also survive. Funeral service will be 11:AM Wednesday August 12, 2020 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bro. Michael Hale, Bro. Donald Haggard and Bro. Wendell Judkins officiating and burial to follow in Whorton Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday August 11, 2020 4 PM until 7 PM and Wednesday August 12, 2020 10:AM until the time of the service at 11:AM. Due to the COVID-19, the Governors Executive Orders 38 and 51 and Social Distancing Guidelines; Our pews in the Chapel are marked off to respect the guidelines and allow approximately 100-125 people for the service, we ask for the health and safety of everyone that you please exercise Social Distancing. The Funeral Home Lounge is Closed and NO Food or Drinks are allowed in the funeral home. The Funeral service will be live-streamed on DeKalb Funeral Chapel Facebook page. In addition to flowers, the family ask that donations be made to DeKalb Animal Coalition. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
