Dorla Nixon Moore age 85 of Dowelltown, Tn. passed away Monday, July 15, 2019 at St Thomas DeKalb Hospital. She was a retired bookkeeper at Family Medical, and member of the Indian Creek Baptist Church. Ms. Moore was preceded in death by her parents Haskell and Eliza Nixon, and husband Kenneth Moore. Survivors include son Joel Moore, Granddaughter Caitlin Moore and Cris Bird all of Dowelltown, and brother Robert L. Nixon of Michigan. Funeral services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at the chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home with burial at DeKalb Memorial Gardens. Bro. Thurman Seber will officiate. Visitation will be Wednesday from 10 AM-8 PM and Thursday from 10 AM until services at 2 PM. Donations may be made to Lighthouse Christian Camp or to The Gideons. Love-Cantrell Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
