Edward Joseph Guerin, Jr. age 76 of the Wolf Creek Community of DeKalb County, passed away Thursday, February 17, 2022, at his residence. He was born January 4, 1946, in New York. He was a member of the Wolf Creek Missionary Baptist Church, a former Firefighter, handyman and a U.S. Army Veteran. Ed was preceded in death by his father, Edward Guerin, Sr. and a sister, Patricia Struller. He is survived by son, Justin Edward Sherrell of Cookeville and a sister, Kathleen (Bob) Patch of New Hampshire. The family has chosen a direct cremation. Graveside Memorial Service with Military Honors will be 3 PM Sunday, March 6, 2022 at Mt. Holly Cemetery. There will not be any services or visitation at the funeral home, family and friends will meet at the cemetery for the graveside service at 3 PM. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
