James Frederick Dolan, beloved husband, father, and great grandfather, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 15th, 2023, at the age of 87. He was born on March 2nd, 1936, in Boonville, NY.
He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Alma Dolan, his daughter Pamela Dolan, and his son James Dolan. James was preceded in death by his daughter Jennifer Dolan.
James had a distinguished life that touched the hearts of many. He was a respected barber in Donelson for 45 years, where he brought smiles to countless faces with his skill and warmth. He also proudly served in the Air Force, showing his dedication to our nation.
James was an avid hunter, finding solace in the beauty of the great outdoors. He was a devoted Catholic and an active member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, where he found spiritual fulfillment and a sense of community.
One of James’ greatest joys in life was being an incredible Grandfather to five grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He cherished the time he spent with them, passing on his wisdom and creating precious memories that will be treasured for generations to come.
As we say our goodbyes, we take solace in knowing that James can now rest peacefully, having been called home by Jesus. His legacy lives on in the hearts of his family and friends, and he will be fondly remembered for the warmth and love he brought into the lives of all who knew him.
May he find eternal peace in the embrace of the Lord.
The family cordially invites guests and relatives for a time of visitation on Friday, October 20th, 2023, from two o’clock in the afternoon until six o’clock in the evening, and on Saturday, October 21st, 2023, from twelve o’clock in the afternoon until the funeral service at two o’clock in the afternoon, with burial to follow at Spring Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5110 Gallatin Road, Nashville, TN 37216.
