Joe Truitt Foutch 86, passed away peacefully at the Webb House on March 24th 2024. He was born on December 15th 1937 to the late Leon & Robbie Hayes Foutch. Joe was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Mainell Malone Foutch and a brother, Donnie Foutch.
Joe is survived by sons, Danny Foutch (Lisa), Dr. David Foutch (Kim) and Jonathan Foutch (Laura); Grandchildren, Katherine Foutch Layman (Matthew), Dr. Jordan Foutch (Jessica), Kelsey Foutch Pyles (Brandon), Dr. Hunter Foutch, Alexandria Foutch Smith (Kyle), and Elijah Foutch (Baleigh); Great Grandchildren, Mia Foutch, Miah Johnson, Rebecca and Caroline Layman, Knox Pyles, Emma Foutch and Mailynn Foutch. He is also survived by sisters, Jean Fite, Judy Farler and Janet Flanigan.
Joe was a retired manager from Work Wear Corp. He was a board member of DeKalb Utility District and served on the DeKalb Bank Advisory Board. He enjoyed cattle farming, fishing, hunting, gardening and attending his children’s and grandchildren’s ball games. Joe was a devoted member of Prosperity Baptist Church where he served as a deacon.
Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Friday, March 29th, 2024 at Prosperity Baptist Church with Bro. Mark Stinnett & Bro. David Moody officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 4-8 at Anderson Funeral Home & Friday at 11:00 am until service time at 1:00 at Prosperity Baptist Church with interment to follow at Prosperity Cemetery.
In addition to flowers, the family has requested donations be made to the Prosperity Cemetery Fund.
Pallbearers will be Dr. Jordan Foutch, Dr. Hunter Foutch, Elijah Foutch, Dr. Matthew Layman, Dr. Kyle Smith and Brandon Pyles.
