Paul McKinley Neal age 82 of Liberty, passed away Tuesday February 8, 2022 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville. He was born October 5, 1939 to his parents, the late Rastis and Tinnie Lee Neal. He worked at Jersey Farm Milk Service for 24 years, also worked at Athalon Sports and TN Wholesale Drugs, he was a former Alderman for Liberty and a member of Salem Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by Sisters: Billie (Houston) Herman, Mary (James) Hale, Myrtle Neal; Sister-in-law: Linda Pursell. Funeral service will be held Friday at 2 PM at Salem Baptist Church with burial to follow in the Salem Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Thursday 4 PM until 8 PM at DeKalb Funeral Chapel and Friday from 10:AM until the time of the service at 2 PM at Salem Baptist Church. Mr. Paul is survived by his wife of 63 years Jean Neal of Liberty; Brothers-in-law and Sisters-in-law: Dale (Marie) Malone of Mt. Juliet, J.T. (Peggy) Pursell of Liberty, Dale Pursell of Liberty; several nieces and nephews also survive. The Funeral Home lounge is closed at this time and NO FOOD or DRINKS are allowed in the building. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
