Peggy Diann Adcock age 53 of Smithville passed away Sunday night, January 17, 2021 at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital. She was born June 1, 1967 to her parents, the late Reed and Joyce Redmon. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband 6 months ago, Timmie Adcock; 2 brothers, James Allen and Glen Redmon; sister, Marlene Redmon. She was a member of New The Baptist Church, worked at Kingston Timers for over 20 years. Peggy is survived by her brother, David (Maria) Redmon of Chesterfield, MI; mother-in-law, Flora Mai Adcock of Smithville; 4 nephews, Jr. (Heather) Redmon, Matthew Redmon, Simon Camaj, and Rob Camaj; 1 niece, Tina Marku; aunts, Marie (Jimmy) Taylor of Smithville, Judy Montgomery of Michigan; uncles, Ernest (Linda) Redmon of McMinnville; Clyde (Bessie) Hawkins of Smithville, and Lynn Hawkins of Rockwood; several cousins and special family, Aniston and Alexis Raymond. Funeral services will be 1 PM Wednesday January 20, 2021 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bro. Johnny Adcock officiating and burial will follow in DeKalb Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Tuesday 4 PM until 7 PM and Wednesday 10:AM until the time of the service at 1 PM. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements. Due to Covid-19 and social distancing guidelines, we ask that you please exercise social distancing for the health and safety of everyone. The pews in the chapel are marker off to respect these guidelines and allow 100-125 for the service. The funeral home lounge is closed and no food or drinks are allowed in the funeral home at this time.
