Cookeville swept the DCHS Tigers and Lady Tigers Saturday in Smithville winning 59 to 24 in the girls game and 63 to 53 in the boys contest.
In the girls game, DC trailed 11 to 8 after the 1st period, 20 to 14 at halftime, and 38 to 15 after the 3rd period before losing 59 to 24.
Emme Colwell scored 10. Kadee Ferrell 5, Natalie Snipes 3 and Mya Ruch, Megan Walker, and Summer Crook each with 2.
The Tigers trailed 21 to 7 after the 1st period, 32 to 23 at halftime, and 45 to 39 after the 3rd period before falling to the Cavaliers 63 to 53.
Dakota White scored 15, Dallas Cook 13, Jordan Young 8, Luke Jenkins 5, Brayden Antoniak 4, Nathaniel Crook and Elisha Ramos each with 3 and Lucas Hale 2.
The Tigers have a record of 4-9 (1-2 in the district) while the Lady Tigers are now 7-7 and (1-2 in the district).
