The DeKalb County Lady Tigers swept the season series against Warren County winning 53 to 47 Friday night in Smithville. But the Pioneers did the same against the Tigers winning 66 to 64.
On November 19, the Lady Tigers defeated Warren County in McMinnville 53 to 50 while the Tigers lost to the Pioneers 59 to 42.
In the girls game Friday night, DeKalb County trailed 10 to 6 after the 1st period and 23 to 17 at halftime but took a 32 to 31 lead after the 3rd period and went on to win 53 to 47.
Kadee Ferrell scored 17. Emme Colwell 14. Lydia Brown 10. Mya Ruch 9. Kenzie France 2 and Maddison Parsley with 1 point.
For the boys, DC trailed 12 to 11 after the 1st period but led 30 to 26 at halftime. The Tigers fell behind 43 to 41 after the 3rd period and lost 66 to 64.
Josh Carlton scored 18. Nathan Atkins 14. Hayden Thomas 11. Issac Walker 8. Dakota White 6. Dallas Cook 4 and Brayden Howard with 3.
The Lady Tigers improve to 8-2 on the season while the Tigers drop to 1-9.
DeKalb County will host Jackson County tonight (Saturday) in Smithville starting with the girls game at 6 p.m. WJLE will have LIVE coverage.
