James Douglas Frazier, Jr.

James Douglas Frazier, Jr. age 82 of Alexandria, passed away Thursday morning, March 11, 2021 at his granddaughter’s home in Smithville. He was born January 16, 1939 to his parents, the late James Douglas and Lera Altie Ashburn Frazier. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 sister, Hazel Frazier and 4 brothers, Azero, Norman, Henry and Lester Frazier. He was a carpenter and a Baptist. Junior is survived by 3 children, Kim (Gene) William of Alexandria, Shane (Beth) Frazier of Smithville and Kyshanna Frazier of Alexandria; grandchildren, Caressa Parker, Caleb Parker and Peyton Frazier; great-granddaughter, Trinity Parker; siblings, Roscoe (Pauline) Frazier of Dowelltown, Leo (Mildred) Frazier of GA, Neodia Cantrell of Dowelltown, Marie (Horace) Bratcher of Dowelltown, Virginia (Joe) Hendrixson of Liberty and Garlon (Ann) Frazier of Liberty; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be 2 PM Saturday, March 13, 2021 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bro. Michael Hale officiating. Visitation will be Friday 4 PM until 7 PM and Saturday 10:AM until the time of the service at 2 PM. Due to Covid-19 and social distancing guidelines, we ask for the health and safety of everyone that you please exercise social distancing. The pews in the chapel are marked off to respect these guidelines and allow 100-125 people for the service. The funeral home lounge is closed at this time and no food or drinks are allowed in the funeral home. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.




Jessica Owen

March 8, 2021

Jessica Owen age 43 passed away Saturday at her residence in Smithville. She was born January 4, 1978 to her parents James Owen and the late Cheryl Lynn Owen. She was affiliated with Freewill Baptist Church and worked in the office/clerical at Model City. Ms. Owen is survived by her father, James Owen of Smithville; 1 sister, Ashley Nichole Owen of Smithville; 1 brother, James Lynn (Jennifer) Owen of Smithville; 1 niece, Haylea Owen; 2 nephews, Christian and Colton Owen. Graveside services will be Wednesday March 10, 2021 at DeKalb Cemetery at 1:00PM with Bro. Michael Hale officiating. There will not be any services or visitation held at the funeral home, family and friends will meet at the cemetery. The family asked that donations be made to DeKalb Funeral Chapel to help with funeral expenses. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.




Lori Ann Kilgore

March 8, 2021

Lori Ann Kilgore age 49 passed away Sunday March 7, 2021. She was born January 18, 1972 to her parents Charlotte McCormick and the late J. C. McCormick. She attended Old Fashioned Freewill Baptist Church for many years and she worked as a clerk in retail sales. She is survived by her son, Clay (Mariah) Kilgore of Smithville; grandbabies, Briar Rose Kilgore, and Marshall Hace Kilgore; mother, Charlotte McCormick of Smithville; sisters, Denise (Dave) Kreiger of Murfreesboro, and Carla Young of Smithville; brother, Jamie McCormick of Smithville. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 3:00PM at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bro. Tim Pack officiating and burial to follow at DeKalb Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Wednesday 11:00AM until the time of the service at 3:00PM. Billy Judd Murphy

Billy Judd Murphy age 83 passed away Thursday evening March 4, 2021 at St. Thomas DeKalb Hospital. He was born November 6, 1937 to his parents the late, William Pete and Nettie Maureen Judkins Murphy. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years Janis Murphy. Mr. Murphy was a member of the Church of Christ. He worked as an Aircraft Fabricator, baseball coach for many years, and a CB and Ham Radio enthusiast. He is survived by 2 sons, Jason Judd (Tamara) Murphy of Smithville, Jeremy Dearman (Sabra) Murphy of Smithville; grandchildren, Braya Murphy, Nixon Murphy, Briahna Murphy, Addison Murphy; brother, Thomas Jewell (Delma) Murphy of Roswell, GA.; 2 nieces, Heather Shelnut, Amanda Murphy; nephew, Sean Murphy. Funeral services will be 2 PM Sunday March 7, 2021 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bro. Dan Gulley officiating and burial to follow in DeKalb Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Saturday 2 PM until 6 PM and Sunday 1 PM until the time of the service at 2 PM. Alta Ruth Bible-Kinsfather age 71 of Alexandria, passed away Tuesday night, March 2, 2021 at Alive Hospice in Murfreesboro. She was born October 29, 1949 to her parents, the late Charles E. and Martha Lavelle Hindsley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by daughter, Christy Renee Hancock Wall; brother, Charles G. Bible and grandparents, Howard and Veda Trapp Hindsley. She was a retired factory worker, member of the Alexandria Senior Citizens and West Main Baptist Church. Survivors include son, Rodney Hancock of Newport, AR; grandson, Raymond Hall; sisters, Margie (Gary) Williams of Alexandria and Connie Gilley and companion Steven Harris of Murfreesboro; sister-in-law, Tammy Bible of Kennett, MO; step-sisters, Linda Fite, Betty George and Paulette (Bobby) Parker; nieces and nephews, Doyle Glass, Doyne (Margie) Glass, Michael Adkins, Danny McCullar, Shawn McClain, Krissy (Chris) Muzny, Charlena “Nikki” (Jared) Brock, Jessica (Tony) Kelsey, Holly (Ivan) Fisher, Lana Franks, Tammy (Randy) Moore, and Melanie Brush; great-niece, Hailey (Dillon) Williams, Destiny Adkins, Laura (Jason) Burton, Emily (Blake) Moore, Alysha Glass, Isabella Glass, Isabella Brock, Blakely Moore, Shalee Foster, Rainey Tiner, Bobby Jones, Chad (Candice) Brant, Jimmy (Catherine) Brant, John Munsy and Justice Tiner; great-great-niece and nephew, Kathryn and Hayden Williams; special caregivers, Sondra Farrell, Lynn Clark and Denise Brenner; special friend, Stein Prichard; special neighbors, Cookie Dodd and Becky Bass. Michael Ray Richardson

March 4, 2021

Michael Ray Richardson has passed away. He was born on September 27, 1969 to Howard Ray and Margie Leette Driver Richardson in Murfreesboro, TN. He was the youngest of three siblings. He grew up in the Lascassas/Milton area and attended Oakland high school and served in the Army after high school. He loved music and writing songs and poetry, even recording one song. He took various courses and enjoyed learning new things. He was a certified massage therapist and also became certified in scuba diving. He loved spending time with his friends, especially Andy Flipse, his best friend for 42 years. There was also Bubba, Chipper Chappell, David Lane, JB and Bryan Robertson just to name a few. He loved his family. He spent several years helping take care of his parents and grandparents when they aged and had failing health. He enjoyed visiting and talking with his many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was always concerned and supportive of his sisters. He loved his nieces and nephews. He enjoyed taking them fishing and hiking and talking with them and sharing his wealth of knowledge about life and his various experiences. He was extremely independent and proud with definite ideas and his own way of doing things.
He is preceded in death by his Parents; Howard Ray Richardson and Margie Leette Driver Richardson and his grandparents; Odell and Gladys Driver and William Arthur and Sarah Richardson.
He is survived by Sisters; Kimberly (Clint) Harper and Sharon (Mark) Hunter. Nieces and Nephews; Derek Harper, Adam (Stormy) Komandosky, Olivia Komandosky, Justin Komandosky and Jade Hunter. Great Nieces and Nephews are Magda Komandosky, Arwen Komandosky and Nadzieja Komandsky.

Visitation with the family will be held Thursday, March 3 at Anderson Funeral Home from 5pm till 7 pm and Friday, March 4 from 11am till service time at 1 pm

There will not be a burial as he had chosen cremation.

In lieu of flowers the family would like donations to be made to the American Diabetes Association
