We are announcing the death of our beloved daughter, Jessica Mollinet. She was born December 18, 1982, and passed away on Tuesday, November 12, 2024. She loved life more than life itself. She loved her family, friends and pets more than can be measured. She was a proud veteran who loved her country and served in the US Coast Guard. The family would like to Thank a very special person who cared for her 24/7. Nick, you never wavered in the face of Jessica’s problems. You were by her side with love until the end and you will always be a member of our family. In addition, Thanks to the staff of St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro who care for her during her fight for life. She is survived by her mother, father, brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Funeral services will be conducted 6 PM Thursday, November 21, 2024, at DeKalb Funeral Chapel. Military Honors and burial will take place 1 PM Friday, November 22, 2024, at the Middle Tennessee Veterans Cemetery on McCrory Lane in Nashville. Visitation will be Thursday 1 PM until the time of the service at 6 PM at DeKalb Funeral Chapel. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is honored to care for the Mollinet Family.
Bobby Monroe Luna

Bobby Monroe Luna age 79 of Sparta passed away Sunday November 10, 2024, at St. Thomas Hospital West in Nashville. He was born May 1, 1945, to his parents, the late Rube and Rubie Johnson Luna. He was a contractor, served in the National Guard and attended Corinth Church of Christ. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by Pat Luna; brother, Gene Luna; and nephew, Eric Luna. Funeral services will be held 6 PM Thursday November 14, 2024, at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Robin Phillips officiating and a private burial to be held at a later date. Visitation with the family will be held Thursday 4 PM until time of the service at 6 PM. Survivors include wife, Linda of Sparta; special nephew, Carlton Luna of Arkansas; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In lieu of flowers, family asked that donations be made to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society in memory of Mr. Luna. David Michael “Cookie” Cook

David Michael “Cookie” Cook, age 52 of Smithville, passed away Tuesday, November 12, 2024, at Ascension St. Thomas DeKalb Hospital. He was a retired truck driver and attended New Life United Pentecostal Church.
He was born on September 12, 1972 in McMinnville, TN. He was preceded in death by his parents; Arlo and Shirley Walker Cook, maternal grandparents; Cecil and Maggie Walker and paternal grandparents; Mervin and Nina Cook.
The family has chosen cremation and a memorial service will be held on Sunday, December 8 at 5pm at 860 S. Congress Blvd. Smithville, TN. Visitation with the family will be prior to the service from 3-5pm.
Survivors include his daughter, Aja Cook and 2 grandchildren, Woods Walker and Arie Smith all of Rickman; 3 brothers, Jeff (Linda) Cook, Johnny (Rachel) Cook all of Smithville and Gerwin Cook of Arizona; 2 sisters, Deborah (Danny) Young and Crystal Petty of Smithville; significant other, Tiffany Hendrixson of Smithville; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Janice Caldwell

Janice Caldwell, aged 64, of Smithville passed away at Alive Hospice in Murfreesboro on Sunday, November 10, 2024. Born on October 16, 1960, in France, she was the beloved daughter of John Vensko and the late Mary Coffey Vensko. Janice was the co-owner of The Purple Door and a member of the Smithville Study Group.
She is survived by her loving husband, Randy Caldwell, and her three children: Courtney (Matt) Mohieddin of Bellingham, Washington, Tyler (Layne) Caldwell of Harrisonburg, Virginia, and John (Emma) Caldwell of Taipei, Taiwan. She is also survived by her father, John Vesko of Smithville, and her brother, David Vensko of Alaska.
Janice was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Coffey Vensko.
A graveside service will be conducted on Thursday, November 14 at 2pm at DeKalb Cemetery, officiated by Bro. Isaac Gray and friends. A celebration of her life will also be held at Button Willow on Sunday at 2pm.

Robert Jack Reed

Robert Jack Reed, age 85 of Smithville, was born June 12, 1939 and passed away on Sunday morning November 9, 2024 at the Quality Center for Rehab and Healing in Lebanon. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Nile and Louise Willis Reed; wife, Sara “Ginny” Reed; son, Brent Reed and siblings, Charlotte Reno, Gary Reed and Mikey Reed. Mr. Reed was a U.S. Air Force Veteran and a dairy farmer for over 20 years. He is survived by 4 children, Margaret (Doyle) Curtis of Liberty, Bart (Glenda) Reed of Georgia, Brian (Phyllis) Reed of Smithville and Barry (Angie) Reed of Smithville; 15 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Graveside services and interment will be 11:AM Wednesday, November 13, 2024 at DeKalb Memorial Gardens with Bro. Royce Curtis officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday 3 PM until 7 PM and Wednesday 9:30AM until 10:30AM, at which time Mr. Reed will be taken to the cemetery for the graveside service. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Highpoint Hospice or the charity of your choice, in memory of Mr. Reed. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is honored to care for the Reed Family.
Donna Faye Smith

Donna Faye Smith age 76 of Watertown, died Sunday morning, Nov. 3, 2024 at her residence. Born July 25, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Donald Matthew Thomas and Chauncie Reynolds Thomas. She was preceded in death by her husbands, John Donald “Donnie” Roberts and Danny Warren Smith; a granddaughter, Kayla Roberts, 6 great grandchildren; her brother, Joe Thomas and sister, Jean Crowell.
Donna was a 1966 graduate of Watertown High School and attended nursing school, she worked for many years for the Tennessean newspaper in classified advertising and was a member of the Linwood Pentecostal Church.
Donna is survived by her children, Tracy (Mark) Christian, Kevin (Tonya) Roberts and Kim (Steve) Roberts; grandchildren, Cruz (Heather) Christian, Cody (Taylor) Christian, Hannah (Anthony Rogers) Christian, Zachary Roberts, Noah Roberts and Emily Roberts; great grandchildren, Shaelynn, Brice, Lillie, Cooper and Wesley; her sister, Sue (Bill) Kemp of Augusta, GA and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2024 at Hunter Funeral Home with Bro. Roger Grisham officiating. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Monday and 10 a.m. till service time on Tuesday. Pallbearers, Cruz and Cody Christian, Zach and Noah Roberts, Brice Christian, Mark Christian, Anthony Rogers.
