Kenneth George Milligan age 77 of Smithville, passed away Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at his residence. He was born May 1, 1947, to his parents the late Kenneth and Anita Cecilia Maher Milligan, in Chalmette, Louisiana. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Vincent and 3 grandchildren. He was a bar and grill owner, served in the US Coast Guard, was a member of the Am Vets Post 101, American Legion and the V.A.V.S. He was a Catholic. He is survived by his wife, Vickey Milligan of Smithville; 4 daughters, Karen (Jeff) Hylton of Ohio, Robin Gilman of Louisiana, Bridgett Gilmore of Mississippi and Terika Faux of Smithville; son, Joshua (Tracy) Vincent of Smithville; 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; 1 sister, Linda Ferguson of Washington. The family has honored Mr. Milligan’s request to be cremated and a Memorial Service will be conducted 1:PM Monday, July 22, 2024, at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bro. Michael Hale officiating and Military Honors conducted by the Veterans Honor Guard. Visitation will be Monday 11:AM until the time of the service at 1:PM. Ronald “Jackie” Young age 76 of Smithville, went home to be with the Lord on Friday night, July 19, 2024 at his residence. He was born July 10, 1948 to his parents, the late T.J. and Athelene Hullett Young. Whether you knew him as Bro. Young, Ronald Young or Jackie Young, you knew of his love for 1957 Chevy’s, and he was a member of the Classic Chevy Club. He loved the Lord and New Life United Pentecostal Church where he served faithfully as the church treasurer since 1985. He worked with OSHA. He leaves behind a family that he loved and cherished, including his wife of 52 years, Patsy Neal Young of Smithville; 2 children, Neal Young of Smithville and Amanda (Brad) Townsend of Ft. Payne, AL; 3 grandchildren, Jordan Townsend of Roanoke, Texas, Jacob and Breanna Townsend both of Ft. Payne, AL; 1 sister, Jannie (Larry) Evans of Battleground, WA. Funeral services will be 1:PM Wednesday, July 24, 2024 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bro. Dwayne Cornelius officiating and burial will follow in DeKalb Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family will be Tuesday 3:PM until 7:PM and Wednesday 10:AM until the time of the service at 1:PM. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is honored to care for the Young family.

Janice Carolyn Blish age 65 of Smithville, passed away Tuesday, July 16, 2024 at St. Thomas West Hospital. She was born November 27, 1958 to her parents, Dorothy and the late Melvin McCormick. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Atlantis Dodson. Janice was a retired shirt factory worker. She is survived by her husband, Larry Blish of Smithville; daughter, Stephanie Dodson of McMinnville; 5 grandchildren, Kelsi Glenn and Allissa Loring both of Smithville, Selena Cole of McMinnville, Leeann Brandon of Manchester and Zoe Dodson of McMinnville; 4 great-grandchildren, Kailee Hoover, Lillie Lee, Amelia Loring and Bellamy Loring; mother, Dorothy McCormick of Smithville. Funeral services will be 3 PM Friday, July 19, 2024 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bro. Michael Hale officiating and burial will follow in DeKalb Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Friday 11:AM until the time of the service at 3 PM. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is honored to serve the Blish family.
James Ronald “Jamie” Whitworth

James Ronald “Jamie” Whitworth, 45 of McMinnville, TN, was born March 31, 1979 and passed away unexpectedly on Friday, July 12, 2024 at the age of 45. He was preceded in death by his parents Lee and Odie Whitworth, a sister Carolyn Mayfield, and a brother Hubert Lynn Whitworth.
Jamie is survived by one brother, Kenneth Whitworth of Priceville, AL; two sisters, Linda (Ronny) Huff of McMinnville and Helen (Hoyte-deceased) Hale of Smithville; special niece Tina (Jeff-deceased) Lassiter of McMinnville; brother-in-law Waymon A. Mayfield of McMinnville, and special friend and retired caretaker Sally Barker of McMinnville. Jamie is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
Jamie enjoyed participating in activities at the local Enrichment Center, as well as events at the Horsin’ Around Equestrian Center. As a member of the Rolling Acres Brethren in Christ Church, Jamie attended services regularly and loved singing. He enjoyed bowling and going anywhere to eat. He loved being around people, and never forgot anyone he ever met, and was loved and admired by everyone who knew him.
Funeral service is scheduled for 11:00 A.M. Saturday, July 20, 2024 in the McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Jeff McKennon and Dathan Hale will officiate. Interment will follow at Shellsford Cemetery. The family of Jamie Whitworth will receive friends on Friday from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and again on Saturday from 9:00 A.M. until the time of service at 11:00 A.M.

Stevie Keith age 68, of Morrison passed away at his residence Tuesday, June 25, 2024. He was born January 16, 1956, to his parents the late Claude and Carnell Taylor Keith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Carl, Phillip, Vernon, and Bobby; sister, Brenda. Mr. Keith served in United States Army and was a Truck Driver. He is survived by brother, Paul Keith of Troy, Tn; daughter, Stephanie; son Little John; companion, Carolyn Milvae. The family has honored Mr. Keith’s request to be cremated and a Graveside Memorial Service will be 2 PM Friday July 26, 2024 at Whorton Springs Cemetery with Bro. Michael Hale officiating. There will not be any visitation or services at the funeral home, family and friends will meet at the cemetery for the service DeKalb Funeral Chapel is honored to care for the Keith family.

Larry Wayne Norrod age 73 of Smithville, passed away Thursday night July 11, 2024, at his residence. He was born August 21, 1950, to his parents, the late Claude and Rosie Hale Norrod Simmons. He was a truck driver for 45 years and a member of the New Union The Baptist Church. Funeral services for Mr. Norrod will be held 4 PM Sunday July 14, 2024, at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bros. Danny Hale and Michael Hale officiating and burial to follow in the New Union Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Sunday 10:AM until the time of service at 4 PM. Mr. Norrod is survived by his wife of 54 years Phyllis Norrod of Smithville; 2 Sons: Jared Norrod, Jamie (Adrea) Norrod all of Smithville; Granddaughter: Lakelyn Norrod; Half-sister: Paula Rogers of McMinnville; Sisters-in-law: Bettie Micheal, Helen (Doug) Smoot all of Smithville; Brother-in-law: Charles Jaco of Smithville; Several nieces and nephews also survive.
