DCHS Drops Pair of Games at York Institute
The DCHS basketball teams dropped a pair of district games at York Institute Tuesday night. The Lady Tigers lost 45 to 35 and the Tigers were defeated by the Dragons 49 to 45.
In the girls game, York Institute led 8 to 6 after the 1st period. The game was tied at 19 by halftime. DeKalb County fell behind 32 to 28 by the end of the 3rd period and lost 45 to 35.
Joni Robinson scored 7. Mallori Hart, Emme Colwell, Mya Ruch, and Lydia Brown each scored 6 and Madison Parsley and Sophie Cripps each scored 2.
In the boys game, the Tigers trailed 12 to 8 after the 1st period and 26 to 25 at halftime. The game was tied at 38 by the end of the 3rd period and the Dragons went on to win 49 to 45 over the Tigers.

Tigers Win Battle with Macon County, Lady Tigers Lose
The DeKalb County Tigers topped the visiting Macon County Tigers 56 to 52 but the black and gold Lady Tigers lost 66 to 51 Saturday in Smithville.
In the girls game, DeKalb County led 17 to 15 after the 1st period but the game was tied at 33 by halftime. Macon County grabbed a 46 to 38 lead after the 3rd period and went on to win 66 to 51.
For DeKalb County, Emme Colwell scored 23. Lydia Brown 11. Megan Walker 8. Joni Robinson 6 and Madison Parsley with 3 points.
In the boys game DeKalb County trailed 12 to 11 after the 1st period but led 34 to 27 at halftime, 51 to 46 after the 3rd period and won 56 to 52.

DCHS Prevails Over Watertown
The DCHS basketball teams swept Watertown Friday night in Smithville with the Lady Tigers winning 42 to 28 and the Tigers taking a 67 to 57 victory.
The Lady Tigers led 17 to 12 after the 1st period, 26 to 17 at halftime, and 33 to 21 after the 3rd period before going on to win 42 to 28.

Lady Tigers Knock Off Smith County, Tigers Lose to Owls
The DeKalb County Lady Tigers knocked off Smith County 38 to 32 but the Owls upended the Tigers 82 to 66 Thursday night in Smithville.
The girls game was tied at 6 by the end of the 1st period. The Lady Tigers led 15 to 14 at halftime. Smith County held a 24 to 20 edge by the end of the 3rd period but the Lady Tigers outscored Smith County 18 to 8 in the 4th period to take a 38 to 32 victory over the visitors.

The Tigers led 18 to 17 after the 1st period of the boys game but trailed the Owls 37 to 36 at halftime. DeKalb County held a 60 to 54 advantage after the 3rd period but were outscored 28 to 6 in the 4th period and lost 82 to 66.

Tigers and Ladies Stung at Baxter
The DCHS Tigers and Lady Tigers were stung on the road Tuesday night by the Upperman Bees in Baxter. The Lady Tigers lost 68 to 32 and the Tigers were beaten 73 to 39.
The Lady Tigers trailed 18 to 11 after the 1st period, 34 to 22 at halftime, and 65 to 26 after the 3rd period before losing 68 to 32.
Lydia Brown scored 10. Madison Parsley and Emme Colwell each with 6. Mallori Hart and Megan Walker each scored 4 and Joni Robinson with 2.
The Bees led the Tigers 23 to 10 after the 1st period, 42 to 18 at halftime, and 55 to 29 after the 3rd period before beating the Tigers 73 to 39
