Tigers Upend Warriors, Lady Tigers Lose

The DeKalb County Tigers upended the White County Warriors 64 to 57 but the Lady Tigers were beaten 63 to 36 Friday night in Smithville.

In the girls game, DeKalb County trailed 17 to 11 after the 1st period, 25 to 19 at halftime, and 42 to 25 after the 3rd period before losing 63 to 36.

For the Lady Tigers, Lydia Brown scored 12. Emme Colwell 11. Madison Parsley 6. Kenzie France, Megan Walker, and Gracie Griffin each scored 2 and Mya Ruch with 1 point.

The Tigers trailed the Warriors 14 to 12 after the 1st period but grabbed a 28 to 27 halftime lead. DC led 48 to 42 after the 3rd period and went on to win 64 to 57.

Trey Jones scored 18 for the Tigers. Colter Norris had 17. Austin Johnson 9. Nathan Atkins and Tanner Poss each had 7. Marshal Evins 4 and Dallas Cook with 2.

DeKalb County will be at Upperman Tuesday night and will host Smith County Friday night.




DCHS Splits with Trousdale County at Hartsville

The DCHS basketball teams split with Trousdale County at Hartsville Thursday night with the Lady Tigers winning 34 to 24 and the Tigers falling 56 to 34.

In the girls game, DC led 14 to 12 after the 1st period, 17 to 14 at halftime, and 24 to 17 after the 3rd period before winning 34 to 24.

Joni Robinson scored 11. Emme Colwell 9. Lydia Brown 7. Megan Walker 5 and Madison Parsley with 2 points.

The Tigers trailed 18 to 2 after the 1st period, 26 to 20 at halftime, and 38 to 30 after the 3rd period before losing 56 to 34.

Trey Jones scored 13. Nathan Atkins 8. Tanner Poss 6. Marshal Evins 3 and Dallas Cook and Colter Norris each with 2.
