Mr. Everett Lewis Judkins age 81 of the Jefferson Community, passed away Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at his residence. He was born February 12, 1938 to his parents, the late Jess and Eva Luna Judkins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Ronald Judkins; 4 brothers, Hobert, Norvel, John, and William Harrison Judkins; 3 sisters, Mary Adcock, Earlene Jeffries, Elsie Adcock. Lewis was a nurseryman and worked in tree service and he was a Southern Baptist. Survivors include 3 children, Robert Lewis Judkins of Sparta, Richard Judkins of McMinnville, and Autumn Rose Acuff of Seattle, Washington; grandchildren, Valerie Judkins, Cassandra Judkins Leary, Alex Judkins; step-grandchildren, Stephanie Lynn Ashcroft, Michael Jesse and Phillip Justin Dinovo; 1 brother, Frank Judkins of Smithville; 2 sisters, Gloria Jean Martin of Smithville and Jessie Fleming of Lafayette, Indiana; several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Monday, March 25, 2019 at Jefferson Cemetery with Bro. Michael Hale officiating. Visitation will be Monday 10:AM until 1:45 p.m.at which time Mr. Judkins will be taken to Jefferson Cemetery for the graveside service. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to DeKalb Funeral Chapel to help with funeral expenses. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.

Billye Ruth Cantrell

92 year old Billye Ruth Cantrell of Smithville passed away Wednesday at Cookeville Regional Hospital. She was a former co- owner of DeKalb Florist and a member of the First Baptist Church. The funeral will be Monday at 4 p.m. at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Chad Ramsey will officiate and burial will be in DeKalb Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Sunday from 1-4 p.m. and Monday from 2 until the service at 4 p.m. She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Cantrell; parents, Robert and Lillie Hutchens Ferrell; brother, James Fred Ferrell; and sister, Imojean Selby. She is survived by a daughter, Vivian and Walt Stock of Smithville. Four grandchildren, Amy Beth and Randy McBride of Maryville, Jennifer and Brian Ledbetter of Cookeville, Stephen and Jamie Stock of Franklin, and Marilynn and Michael Mitchell of Murfreesboro. Thirteen great grandchildren, Russell, Walter, and Margaret Thompson of Maryville, Katie and Clay McBride of Maryville, B.J., Vivian and Emma Ledbetter of Cookeville, Eric and Ryan Mitchell of Murfreesboro, and Isaac, Colton, and Camryn Stock of Franklin. A sister, Nell Pedigo of Murfreesboro. Sister-in-law, Ann Cantrell of Mt Juliet and several nieces and nephews survive. Love-Cantrell Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Donations in memory of Ms. Billye may be made to the First Baptist Church Sound and Media System Fund.

Charles Ray Judkins age 60 of McMinnville passed away Sunday March 17, 2019 at St. Thomas River Park Hospital in McMinnville. He was born October 10, 1958 to his parents, Edna Frances Adcock Judkins and the late Alton Ray Judkins. He was a nurseryman and a Baptist. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by step-father: Frank Judkins; mother of his son: Shelia Ann Jones. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday March 21, 2019 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bro. Michael Hale officiating and burial to follow in Cantrell Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held Thursday 10:AM until the time of service at 2 p.m.. Survivors include 1 Son: Shannon Ray Judkins (Latasha) Pylant of Smithville; Mother: Edna Frances Judkins of McMinnville; 2 Grandsons: Malachi and Isaiah Pylant; Sister: Mary Ferrell of McMinnville; Brother: Freddie Joe Judkins of McMinnville; Step-mother: Judy Judkins of McMinnville; 2 Step-brothers: Tim and Darren Judkins of McMinnville; Step-sister: Sharon Robinson of Spencer. Johnnie Lee Davis, Sr. age 64 passed away Friday night at his residence. He was born October 4, 1954 to his parents, the late Joh Dyer and Ida Lee Kirby Davis. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Johnnie Lee Davis, Jr. He was a nursery worker and non-denominational. He is survived by his wife, Stephanie Davis of Lebanon; 3 children, Shelia Davis of Cookeville, James Davis of Gulfport, MS, Crystal Murphy of Crossville; 5 step-children, Angela Thomason of Baxter, Janda Hendrixson of Smithville, Shea Foster of Smithville, Arianna Matthews of Smithville, Arrion Matthews of Smithville; 1 sister, Rita Matthews of Smithville; 1 brother, Earl Kirby of Crossville; sister-in-law, Lori Keith of Lebanon; 14 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted 3 PM Tuesday, March 19, 2019 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bro. Nathan Thomason officiating and burial will follow in Eastland Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be on Tuesday 2 PM until the time of the service at 3 PM. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.

80 year old Jeanine Cook Caldwell of Smithville passed away Thursday at NHC of Smithville. She was retired from Smithville First Baptist Church where she was the former Church Secretary and a member. The funeral will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Chad Ramsey, Beth Duke, and Mark Thomas will officiate and burial will be in Salem Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. until the service at 2 p.m. She was preceded in death by husbands, Shirley Cook and Hoyte Caldwell; parents, Edward David and Pauline Hudson Nixon; and sister, Paulette Nixon Hernandez. Survivors include two daughters, Joy and Charlie Parker of Smithville and Jill and Mark McSparren of Austin, Texas. Four grandchildren, Claire Garrett and Katie Parker of Smithville, Annie and Josh Perkins of Sunset, Texas, and Quenton McSparren of Nashville. Four great grandchildren, Summer Garrett, Marley Anderson, and Ryland and Nolan Perkins. Three sisters, Annette Leivestad and Annessa Nixon of Clarksville, and Anona Williamson of Knoxville. Several nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive. In addition to flowers, donations in memory of Jeanine may be made to the Smithville First Baptist Church.
