Walteen Caldwell Neely

Walteen Caldwell Neely age 84 of Smithville, passed away Wednesday afternoon at NHC HealthCare Center.  She was born August 10, 1935 to her parents, the late Walter and Ailene Hendrixson Caldwell.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Neely.  Walteen was a member of the Covenant Baptist Church and long-time member of the Order of the Eastern Star and Ladies Shrine.  She leaves to cherish her memory, 1 son, Kevin (Rexanna) Neely of Smithville; 6 grandchildren, Matthew Royce (Kara) Neely, Erica Denise (Ben) Goering, Jeremiah Joseph (Monique) Pasley, Tabatha Marie (Deron) Batey, Jeffrey Daryl (Holly) Pasley, Matthew Allen Pasley; 9 great-grandchildren, Jericho Zachariah Neely, Lazarus Clarence Neely, Jeremy Scott Fink, Dominic Leon (Brittany) Pasley, Landon Pasley, Miah Pasley Elijah Scott, Sideny Scott, Skylar Scott; 1 great-great-grandchild, Blayke Marie Pasley; 1 sister, Sarah Ellen Colwell of Dowelltown.  Funeral services will be 1 P.M. Saturday, August 17, 2019 at DeKalb Fuenral Chapel with Bro. Bobby Thomason officiating and burial will follow in Keltonburg Cemetery.  Visitation will be Friday 12 Noon until 8 PM and Saturday 10 AM until the time of the service at 1 PM.  In addition to flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Gideon’s International, Shriner’s Children Hospital, St. Jude Children Hospital or Lighthouse Christian Camp, in memory of Ms. Walteen.  DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.




David Harold Pack

58 year old David Harold Pack of Dowelltown passed away Tuesday at Cookeville Regional Hospital. He was owner of Joe’s Port a Potty. The funeral will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Mount Holly Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. until the service at 2 p.m. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Josie Pack and grandparents, Harvey and Josie Pack and Charlie and Martha Webb. Pack is survived by his children, Jamie Ramos, Jennifer and David Nichols, and Joseph Pack and fiancée Keely McKay. A grandchild, Jaleana Ramos. Three sisters, Deborah and Larry Hancock, Dianna Adams and Darlene and Frank Evans. Brother, Daniel Pack. Three nephews, Travis and Mary Hancock, Chris and Lydia Hancock and Cain Evans. Two nieces, Bailey Pack and Sarah Evans. Great nephews, James and Carter Hancock and Ethan Hancock. Three great nieces, Katie Hancock, Josie Hancock, and Kelsey Logan. Special friends, Jerry Wayne and Freda Johnson and many close friends and family also survive. Love-Cantrell Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in David’s memory to Love-Cantrell Funeral Home to help with burial expenses.




Everleigh Angel Vincent

August 13, 2019

Everleigh Angel Vincent passed peacefully in the arms of her family on Friday, August 9, 2019. She was born and loved deeply by her family, but she is now being held in the arms of Jesus.

Everleigh is the daughter of Kayla Ashley Wheeler and Seth Vincent and the baby sister of Mavrick Jerome.

She is also survived by grandparents: Steve and JoAnn Garland; Aunts and Uncles: Ray and Brittany Vincent, Summer Spivey, and Amanda Vincent, all of Smithville, Cole Wheeler, Jacob Allen, Ezra Allen all of Pikeville, Samantha Garland, Ashley Hayes, Audrey Garland, Leah Garland and Toby Garland all of Smithville; several cousins also survive. Everleigh gave her family a lifetime of love during her short time on earth.

The family has chosen cremation. Love-Cantrell Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.




Bobby Jack Campbell

Bobby Jack Campbell age 86 of Liberty, passed away August 6, 2019 at his residence.  He was born January 16, 1933 in Liberty.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Odus Gilmore and Ora Nonnie Hayes Campbell and brother, Truman Campbell.  Jack was a member of Salem Baptist Church and a former deacon at Prosperity Baptist Church.  He was a retired postal employee and a farmer.  He was involved with the Farm Service Agency for 42 years and a board member of the Farm Bureau for 15 years.  He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Annie Bell Malone Campbell; son, Randy (Cheryl) Campbell; daughters, Carol (Jamie) Hale and Susan Johnson (Danny Bond); two grandsons, Jacob Hale and Joshua (Katie) Johnson; four granddaughters, Amy Hall, Cassie (Bradley) Brown, Leah (Damein) Schitter, and Kelley (Derek) Carter; twelve great-grandchildren, Katie and Tesa Hall, Lucas Hale, Hannah and Hailey Brown, Nathan and Jack Johnson, Olivia, Scarlett, and Adeline Schitter, Brayden and Kye Carter; one sister, Mary (Jimmy) Clark.  Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Friday, August 9, 2019 at Salem Baptist Church with Bros. Thurman Seber and Damein Schitter officiating and burial will follow in Salem Cemetery.  Visitation will be Thursday 4:PM until 8:PM at DeKalb Funeral Chapel and Friday 1:PM until the time of the service at 3:PM at Salem Baptist Church.  In addition to flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Salem Baptist Church, in memory of Jack.  A special thanks to Kindred Hospice of Cookeville for their loving care of Jack.  DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.




Georgetta Lynn Binkley

Georgetta Lynn Binkley age 51 of Smithville passed away Sunday morning, August 4, 2019 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. She was born May 27, 1968 in Dunlap, TN to her parents, George Wright and the late Linda Shockley Wright. Linda was a Catholic and a homemaker. She is survived by her husband, Clay Binkley of Smithville; son, Troy Binkley of Cookeville; daughter, Anna Marie Daker of Louisville, KY; numerous grandchildren; father, George Wright of McMinnville. Funeral services will be conducted 1 PM Wednesday, August 7, 2019 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel. Visitation with the family will be on Wednesday 11 AM until the time of the service at 1 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to help with funeral expenses or to the family to help cover medical expenses. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.




Elaine Close

Elaine Close age 65 of Smithville, passed away Thursday August 1, 2019 at her daughter’s residence in Smithville. She was born March 7, 1954 to her parents, the late Nathan and Margaret Fine. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Wesley Fine; a niece, and 2 nephews. Mrs. Close was a homemaker. She was a member at Cedar Key First Baptist Church and an Electa member of the Eastern Star. Mrs. Close is survived by her husband, Dwayne Close of Smithville; children, Brian Nathan Fine  (Leighann Francis) of FL., Shayna (Brandon) Taylor of Smithville, Kirby (Kyle) Morton of McMinnville; grandchildren, Bryce Francis, Orla Fine, Blake Fine, Bryli Fine, Caleb Taylor, Caley Taylor, Madison Taylor, Aubree Taylor, Kylee Morton, Kailyn Morton, Kamden Morton; sisters, Wanda (Doug)Castell, Patty Jo (Michael) Lackey, Carolyn (Frank) Mammano all of FL.,and Vickie Hobbs of Dowelltown; brothers, Daryl Nathan Fine and Jeff Fine both of FL.; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be 4:30 PM Sunday August 4, 2019 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bro. Michael Hale and Bro. David Frazier officiating and burial to follow in DeKalb Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Sunday 12 noon until the time of the service at 4:30 p.m.. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
